It's been a dream of mine to live off grid, and go anywhere I like. I'm not brave enough to do it, but I like the idea.

These camper conversion vids put the first I have watched from this guy.. but he deserves more credit when he is paying out for all of the parts and filming and editing all of the vids for our entertainment.. well done fella 👍🏼

Hi mate van looks good. Here's a tip on how to remove the pain in the arse glue, you can pick up a freezing spray in some motor shops. It will freeze the glew and with a wee chap of a hammer and screwdriver it will brake off and speed up the process. Found this out the hard way! Good luck and enjoy!

I converted a sprinter once that could also carrry to scramies, the waiitng on parts liek special would, trimmings and all that made the 6 week project into 6 months, i had to pack it in, unless you have all the parts upfront, this camper stuff takes MONTHS! Finished a 27ft leyland tho, she was a beauty

Great job, for future reference you can get a silicone removal jel that gets brushed on old silicone and should make removal easier and quicker.

that plywood floor looked very tight fitting. what about expansion, do you not leave a few mm all round for the damper weather?

A couple of trestles wouldn't go amiss either before you put the blade into your leg.

Loving these videos - have a gray Audi and going to try your paint repair tutorial as mine has same damage. Main reason for the post is I saw Knauf insulation in the back and I spent a few months as a machine operator for them here in Australia haha. Spun out. Terrible company to work for but make a good product.

Really enjoying you build. In fact I sent your link to my Brother, who’s a carpenter that’s always looking for unique things. Great job.

Also, get spare wires in their, just 1 or 2 to each corner, the amount of time iv come wanted to add more features but just didn't have the power for it behind the boards and its too late when its all fixed lol

Hi mate. Any tips for not using a vapour barrier. Your video is one of the only ones I've seen without it. I'm starting converting my Primastar and I really can't be assed messing about with a vapour barrier if it isn't necessary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks 👍👍

Not sure its a good idea but I'm pretty sure the black tar like glue around the base of the van is flammable, just don't breath it in.

Red lead the parts on the floor the paints missing, you will have future spills that will find their way under and pool on them . Dont forget a small gap for expansion on those hot summer days

Insulation overkill is probably why I noticed you didn't apply the silver on the opposite side? Just curious, that's all. If you notice a difference, please let us know? 👍

With the plywood flooring - Would it be a better idea to use a CNC machine or do you think it would just cause more headaches? I have access to a very good machine in work that accurate to 0.01mm

It’s common practice to remove this bar on the vw otherwise you would have a bar blocking most of the window
