Very cool van! Very similar to how my 1999 Astro van awd is set up! One thing I love is being able to uncover the windows to see the view from my bed! Also, my height is around 5'10", so it makes sleeping on the bed window-to-window difficult. Diagonal is okay, but the bed is also built with the ability to extend closer to the front seats for when it's time to stretch out! Instead of a fridge, I put a tote there to use for showering.

Live "in a bus", or learn to live "out of a van”. Wanted a bus at first. Then it was an ambulance, but both have dual wheels. An all wheel drive van that gets 20 mpg or better if you drive no faster than 60 or so and stay out of city traffic. You can go places in the AWD van that a bus or ambulance can never sensibly venture. I have seen dually trucks get rocks stuck between the tires after only a few miles off grid. A bus is great for a family, or an elderly couple that can afford the repairs, tires, fuel milage etc. A van can easily go as stealth. Most repairs I can do myself and if needed, it is far less expensive than parts and a mechanic or shop willing to help you in a big rig. Talked wirh a guy last year that had a tow bill that was as much as a tranny or used engine for my van. i can easily live “out of my van. I love being outdoors and travel and camp in warmer climates. Nothing like cooking over a camp fire. Yes the drawback is on rainy days. To each his own. All are good if you can afford the fun you are seeking. Stay safe all. Merry Christmas

If you spend "all the time" inside your camper crawling around, there is no good reason to own a camper van of any variety... Except that it costs more to sit around in an apartment.
