About the bike rack: we have an Uebler on our California, model is x21 or i21, top of my head. It's also possible to turn it 90 degrees an then you can open the back. The only issue is that it's too close To the for bikes with wide handle bars. Maybe that's something that can be fixed but adjusting the way it's on the camper but I did not investigate yet..

Ahh thanks for letting us know. And Uebler (link: www.volkswagenshop.be/nl/2-producten/detail/67-uebler-fietsendrager-p22s-op-trekhaak) we did not know about. But that might be a good solution as well. I would like to warn people, in any way, that they would need a specific bikerack. Thanks, good option!

@@uglysjourney the nice thing about the uebler is that it can be folded into a really small package for storage. I agree with your advice, check carefully if you can open the back of your camper, it's a matter of cm's.

Indeed a matter of centimeters. We already had a folding bike rack from Thule. That did not fit, by not much, just a few cm. Following this advice could save up to 600 euro's 👍🤑🤑

Haha! Ja inderdaad. Niet echt voor de wegenbelasting, maar om de Tonke te kunnen verhuren. Je krijgt alleen een hele dure verzekering als je op grijs rijdt en wilt verhuren.
