I love Deb's setup and her personality hahaha. the thin metal mesh cabinet is actually a good idea. it's going to be sturdy even with all the movements, not seems too heavy, provide surface for a lot of magnet stuff like magnetic hooks/towel rack/shelf/RGB lights strips/rechargable fans/night lamps etc, provide safer surface for the stove or any hot surfaces and also a good surface to stick your fancy fridge magnets u collected from all your travelling

I AGREE!!!! Metal is the way to go!! It's also lighter than a piece of wooden furniture. I definitely want something like it, and I'd love to be able to use it as a desk, too. So many more possibilities - oh, and the sliding doors instead of doors opening out and getting in the way!

After riding, my favorite activity was inner tubing down the Little Gunpowder River that bordered our farm. When you do microwave kettle popcorn, do you put Old Bay on it? It is soo good. I’m so happy you made this video. I bought a used 2008 Honda odyssey last fall and was trying to figure out some ideas on how to set it up. She’s hilarious with her crying baby Jackery impersonation 😂. Yay @ Honda Odyssey! My father (master mechanic) said the same exact thing about my 2007 when he joined us to inspect it prior to our purchase - that it will go 300K miles. Yours is MUCH prettier, though! Don’t worry - I won’t tell Hubs who inspired the next round of changes, LOL. Hubs is also from Baltimore. :)

Hi, I just bought a 2014 Odyssey with 120k miles. I don't know cars and don't have a mechanic in the family and keep reading about issues with something called the VCM (variable cylinder management). My understanding is that the VCM will shut down some of the cylinders and car will go into "eco mode" when the computer senses that less power is needed. I've read this can cause problems with oil burning and more. They sell things called VCM disablers or VCM tuners or VCM muzzlers. All seem to do essentially the same thing -- they prevent VCM/Eco mode from engaging. Sorry for the long comment. I'm just trying to find out from other Odyssey owners if this has been an issue for them. I'm planning to travel and sleep in the van.

I love that Deb talks to herself! I read somewhere years ago that super hi iq people talk to themselves and I can say I know 2 (150+ iqs) that do just that! I used to joke with them about it and then I realized they’re just reasoning out things in their minds. When I read the article I happily showed it to them. It’s probably why Deb is on her 4th van configuration…always learning and adapting to better ways of doing things!

I have to say, I don’t think people are trying to be Martin Scorsese, you’re just content makers, sharing your life. You do the best you can and there’s nothing wrong with that. Love that van. I’m disabled and I wear a leg brace and I can’t bend my knees very far. I couldn’t get around in the back of a minivan. I couldn’t even do it in a transit. I ended up selling the van. Not meant to do some things.

I am so sorry. I have psoriatic arthritis and sometimes when I wake up, I can't move my leg. I need a cane. I totally understand the mobility issues. I began taking a biologic and it's helping. I fear that something will happen that will stop me from living this new lifestyle that I have found. (I'm just trying to have fun with the filming - and make people smile. I absolutely LOVE that scarf behind the front seats but I have a cat, so not for me! That front well she's talking about is for her spare tire. I highly recommend keeping a spare tire in it and not anything else. Weird placement, I know. I had to look it up for my own Odyssey because I didn't know if or where my spare was. Hi! I remove the back and passenger slide door window covers the others stay on. My floor slants except for under the cabinet. That has 2 legs to make it level. This set up is the best so far. Love having the space to spread out when i sleep. Have fun with your Changes!

Being short-ish and a side-sleeper as well, the mattress layout is excellent! And utilizing the seat that way makes my back feel good. So many people just use the bed and the side of the van...good job, Deb! I also like how you addressed an issue I don't see others tackling, that of the space at the top of the divider curtain. I've kept thinking that someone will do it -- and Deb did. Yay!!! I'm surprised you both didn't comment on her side curtain -- very good idea =;^)

Totally agree! I really wish I could sleep like that. I'm the same height, but my feet hit the door. I have no choice but to go back to front. I think she really utilizes her space well.
