Can carry anything, as your not limited by a roof.

You'll have a rough time in rough roads with a van since most vans have a smaller ground clearance than pickups

depends where you live & what you need it for... living in eastern Canada, I would never buy a vehicle unless it is 4x4. Also, easier to load & unload a truck, plus I can't attach a snowplow to that van..lol, actually, I wouldn't put a plow on that truck either :)

Who told you that was the Amarok Highline? It doesn't have Bi-Xenon headlights or side steps for a start! It's the lower spec'd Trendline.

No builder is spending 42k on a van you cant fit sheet material in , may as well have a car . Spend 20k on a standard size van (not crew cab) and 20k on a family car ...

Fully agree with that! I've got a mwb sprinter plenty of space for all my tools plus any materials and no faffing around with roof racks or trailers,if I needed 4 seats I'd get the crew cab but luckily I don't!

Plenty builders spend 42k and more... Plus not everyone that buys vans is a builder. Plenty of trades and hobbies dont need sheet material and u can t get the vat back on a car!

I picked up 2020 M1 Transit Custom this week. Very happy on many levels especially the metallic grey look with blacked out windows. A rock n' roll space ship!

Amarok of course. I liked it on test drive when it was 2.0 but with 3.0 it became even much better.

That is not a Highline version of the Amarok. It's a much lower spec Trendline with max 200 ps.

I'll still with our vw crafter and our T6 kombi the same engine as the Amrok and German quality engineering. My lil bros Transit was taken straight off his driveway last Feb. Even he's become a Transporter convert. VDubz retain their value better too although transits parts are more readily and cheaply available.

What are you smoking? VWs are absolutely rubbish, the Amarok is the worst ute on the market with horrendous reliability and useless off road performance. If you like oil leaks, failing electronics and faulty transmissions then yes, buy your premium VW (no one regards VW as premium asides from VW owners) ironic that VW are getting Ford to design the next Amarok for them because the current model was so bad

I like this van more because it is from front looking like a very big Ford Car and since UK has absolutely no natural extreme terrain or atleast big enough not to be impassable , ....... the Van is a first choice !

Unless you live in Nevada or Sahara pick-up makes no sense. You can never leave anything in it. Even if, you would chain it together every time or put a massive, expensive, bed space taking storage box. No point van all the way!

Love the new msrt tranni Van's they just looks so good take the the tranni over vw pickup anyday fathers got the previous shape msport tranni and he loves it. Far better than they used to be if this had the 4wd differential and it would be best of all worlds

Transit is horrendously unreliable these days but is probably the best of the two. At least it will get used as a work vehicle in the real world . I think the amarok isn’t a real workers vehicle. You can imagine some upper class snob driving one though that’s never seen a tool box in its life.

Transits are very reliable and used here as courier vehicles covering 100s of thousands of kms. The VW isnt reliable enough to last its warranty period.

You are so right,the transit custom can be broken into with very basic tools and knowledge. My mates had a brand new transit break down twice on him already and been back for recalls too. No thanks!!!

I’m only telling the truth. Since ford stopped using the 2.2 Peugeot engines and started fitting their own 2.0 EcoBlue engine, they’ve been nothing but trouble. Mine is a 19 reg and has broken down once. All others in our fleet have broken down, some as much as 4 times! Joke!
