I've done all glass re-installs by myself, so is possible! It's extremely difficult...but if you must, it is doable. The trickiest one is the rear drivers side with the wardrobe cabinet. Especially if you have the in window vent. I've managed that one solo also, but possibly the hardest thing I've ever attempted!

That is a terrible repair and wont last. The fiberglass mesh will attract water and that will become wavy, maybe pop out and rust soon. Fiberglass is for filling low spots in metal. You would have been better off even pop riveting or screwing in a repair panel then using cave and pave for the screws, or using panel glue. For other people doing this, just pay someone to weld metal in. It won't cost much if you do the finish work.

thanks for the opinion. i opted to do it this way due to the price estimates i was getting from local shops. this cost me maybe $30, and i'm quite happy with it. doesn't have to last me forever but sure looks a lot better then the rust spot that was there. and IF it falls out or rusts out then i will reevaluate and hopefully i have enough money then to do it the right way. for now, this will do just fine in sunny southern california.

I've done repairs like this using por15 and just short strand fiberglass without the mesh. Never had a problem IF paint sealed and clear coated properly. In fact...fiberglass rejects moisture! Why do ya think boats are made of the stuff??🤣

@@robertmuckle2985 it's a ghetto ducttape/bailing wire repair and a scam if you don't disclose it when selling it. I wish more people got sued for bullshit like this.
