It's a cool looking watch for sure. The bracelet is, in my opinion, where it scores highest.

Great review! I think there are some people that might appreciate a different type of bezel action, made me curious at least. I’d really like to see a Farer discovery Black velvet review if you ever get your hands on it, I’m very intrigued by it but hesitant to drop $1k without being able to handle it prior. Thanks for all the great content! Been binging your videos as of late, lots of high quality reviews.

Fair point! I could see someone liking the uniqueness of the bezel but it really threw me for a loop! If I see someone selling one second hand I might I saw the purple one at windup before and thought it was fairly nice. Black dial is probably the better version too

@@theknightswatch thanks! Really hoping you find a farer, I agree, the black dial is the more attractive version in my opinion. I like their designs but I prefer understated colors. Might have bought one if their bracelet for the 36mm models had some form of micro adjustment. Really hoping they start offering that.

Hi there. Seen your channel on Teddy's yearly video. You have some interesting watches covered. I like that but I'd like to give some suggestions if that's OK. I find it difficult to view your videos for two reasons. Most of the time the details of the watches are not visible as you record from distance with insufficient light (we don't need to see your hands holding the watch, better to focus on the watch and adjust lighting for that). And in macro shots, it's way too close up and the watch is not steady.. In this case, it's difficult to appreciate the composition of the dial. My suggestion is to use a rotating stand and a firm tripod with lots of soft lighting and just do voice overs. I hope that's helpful. Thank you for the content you share.

I can try to incorporate it but we’ll see. Rotating stands are tough because if I want to show a detail on more than one axis it becomes more complicated. I’ll play around and see what happens. Everything is shot on an iPhone and I don’t know if I’ll graduate much rather than that

Thank you for the review. The watch seems really interesting. It reminds me of the Venturo, from Gruppo Gamma, that I own. But I love it, aesthetically. Still, I cannot like the dial: that texture looks too plasticky, like in the ultra cheap watches sold on dubious online stores for a couple of euros. I don't know, I'd have to see it live: from the close-ups in the video it looks really unattractive. However, I agree with the other comments: the real distinguishing mark is the band.

As much as I love your videos, I wish that you would show the close-ups at the beginning when you're describing the watch. Every time, when you give a detailed verbal watch description, I can't see sh** on my phone, so I have no idea what you're talking about. I have to memorize your verbal description in order to match it with the magnified visual shots that you go into minutes later. I gotta be honest. It gets a little annoying.

I can see where you are coming from. From my perspective the beginning portion is dial overview where the macro shots are for more close up details and finishing.

I would take the side of Sir Knight on this. Showing the dial zoomed out is better. Your human eye cannot see at the detail of the macro-view. You need a loupe to see that close. More generally, you will be seeing the watch from the wrist distance almost all of the time. So those views are far more relevant. I would still keep the macro analysis, which I enjoy; but the point remains that your experience with the dial will be from about 30-50cm distance. The thing I personally wish he did was show more zoomed out shots e.g. holding up his hand in the portrait mode parts (like pros/cons), to see how it looks from further away. This is because the standard 16:9 video format makes watches look bigger than they really do when at close distance.

@@johnanth fair point! I have considered doing a more perspective shot, something I may consider adding in the outside shots or like you said in the beginning or end talking portions.
