I like the magnification of date. But when I look on line for watch the magnification doesn't look as good as yours. Is it hit or miss on this?

Credor's are great but too expensive. I'd rather buy a used Patek Calatrava at that price. Besides, at that price I expect a White Gold case, not steel. White gold looks much better.

I have a question about the number showing the four o’clock on the dial. The Roman letter for 4 is IV. The dial shows 4 lines: IIII. Is this a mistake, or they have used this to make it different from the 6’o clock that is VI? For the 9 and 11 they are correct, respectively IX and XI.

It’s this simple, I and watch connoisseurs know that this is a lovely simple field watch which we can wear anywhere, my Rolex models stay in the box as I’m pretty wary to wear them now so I wear them for special occasions….the world has gone so far downhill that people will stab you for your watch. This is a quality, lovely and very comfortable watch that doesn’t draw any attention from the scummy types and is appreciate by people like us, decent hard working salt of the earth people.

I have the black dial with silver hands/numerals. I like it. First time I've bought a black dial, and it's a bit less dressy and more sport. I bought mine from Tourneau, and they adjusted the bracelet perfectly right on the counter, even without the micro-adjust. The bracelet almost looks like it's integrated, without the limitations inherent with integration. I highly recommend Tourneau. They found a part for my JL and got it working. Excellent company.

I take umbrage w your comment about the logo having to be readily visible to contribute to elegance. There r few watches more elegant than moser. And they often have either no logo or laser engraved in the dial so it’s almost invisible. And it’s truly an elegant look IMO

Nice review, I own the Prince Date 74034, 34mm on my 17cm wrist. By the way, why do so many Americans wear their watch over the knuckle of the wrist, closer to the hand? There will be more play on the bracelet and it is often bad to the crown, due to the movement of the hand.
@theknightswatch17 күн бұрын
@@paulboes7649 for me I prefer it aesthetically. I don’t typically flex my wrist at an extreme angles (no pushups while wearing a watch) and I wear it slightly lose so it can slide down if I need it to. I prefer how on the wrist it’s basically al arm, then watch, then hand. When you wear it higher its arm, watch, some of arm and a wrist, then hand it honestly draws my eye to my wrist bone than the watch.

I retired last year and bought a 41mm sub date to celebrate. However as they say never meet your heroes, I couldnt gel with it and sold it within three months. Having always liked the Mil Sub I therafter purchased the OR2 and love it. This is a modern interpretation of what Rolex could have done had they relaunched the Mil Sub. Its not a pure homage as the Ginault does not directly replicate any Rolex model. A great watch for any dive watch enthusiast.

The only wearable size of the Royal oak is the 15450., and to a lesser degree the jumbo or the 15300. 36 mm Royal oaks are also nice. Anything smaller or larger is just not wearable. I have a 7 inch wrist and still find the 41mm appalling. They are aesthetically appalling.
