Bollywood (The Hindi Film Industry) has lost interest in original music, that's why we see so many remixes getting released these days. Music companies and Producers want composers to create catchy songs, songs that the audience gets hooked onto instantly. Now, original tunes take time to register in the mind of the listener, but producers don't have that much patience. So the solution that they found is recreation of old songs, remixing old songs, using popular songs from other parts of India or outside India. This saves a lot of money for the producer because now they don't need a professional musician, they can do with any technician who knows how to remix songs, and also because the song was already a hit in it's own time, it takes no time to become popular with the listeners. On top of that they create a raunchy video to promote that remixed song and the audience goes crazy. It's not just A.R.Rahman, but pretty much every single composer who intends to compose original music is being sidelined. Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Amit Trivedi have also met with the same fate. There was a time when Pritam was made fun of for composing songs that lacked originality. He was the busiest composer of Bollywood, simply because Producers wanted instant hits and he managed to deliver them. With "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Dangal", Pritam went completely original and as a result of that we barely hear his music in Bollywood anymore. The top concern for music companies is profit and not art, and in the name of creating a balance, they get 2-3 original songs from a composer and then hire someone else to create some remixes for them. The concept of having multiple composers works well for the music companies because it reduces their expenditure and saves time, and so instead of hiring a top musician, the music companies hire a few young musicians. Senior composers like A.R.Rahman, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy do not appreciate the concept of multiple musicians, because it's highly disrespectful for them, and hence they just opt out of those projects. This does not happen in South India, and as a result of that the best film music in India right now is being produced by the movies being made in South India.

AR Rahman knows how to give soul for every song by composing it in an effective way. Already Vande Mataram had a strong soul given by it's lyricist. That is again strengthened by AR Rahman. I still remember how this song instilled patriotism in me when i was just 8 by this song. This song was just released and used to play in theatres before the film starts. That has given a strong base of patriotism in everyone of 90s era, which is being positively influenced our country still this day.

I think they sang in the original scale but in the lower octave as it is too high for many. Some style of songs won't suit girls where especially more power is required because most of the girls always go for falsetto when they go high. They don't hit the notes directly. Similar problem will be there for men also when trying to sing a female song.

@@saxena4500 It's not the fault of kids..it's the person who did the music arrangement..and BTW,we said what we felt..Why should we fake our point of view?chill man..The kids have already got the credit for their hardwork..our opinion doesn't matter..

Whenever I hear patriotic songs they give me goosebumps. In my school days I sang many of them . After hearing this I'm remembering the day when we sang many patriotic songs included "Saare Jahan Se Achcha " in IP stadium together by 600 students of different schools. Miss India! Love from UK
