Vanderpump Rules Star, Katie Maloney, Breaks Down the Pay of Serving at SUR vs. Being on the Show

This week, Jason is joined by entrepreneur, reality TV star, and fellow Dear Media podcast host, Katie Maloney!
Katie is well known for her role in the hit reality TV show, Vanderpump Rules. For the past 10 years, Katie quickly established herself as one of the fan favorites among the cast members in Bravo’s hit show and has since capitalized on it personally, professionally and financially. Hey Jason! Not sure if you read KZbin comments [I already left a 5 star review on apple podcasts], but just a suggestion: maybe give us a cliff notes version of the show when you have guests where being part of something like Vanderpump Rules, Houswives, etc. is a bit part of their story. Even though your show isn't focused on their show itself, it helps to have some idea of how the show worked. Kind of like how you introduce the guest by telling us a little bit about them, maybe tell us a little bit about how their show works? *I know I'm probably one of the only people on the planet who doesn't know what Vanderpump Rules is, but if someone [me] who watches multiple reality TV shows doesn't know that one, I'm sure there are others who would appreciate a little more info on what they do there when it's such a theme in their business story!

Come on Katie, the very first episode of Vanderpump Rules was centered on Scheana. Brandy supposingly walked over from the House Wife's of Beverly Hills to the set of Vanderpump Rules via The Sur where Lisa greets Brandy and asks her if she is OK and ready to have the sit down with Scheana. I gues if you are filming different segments one might know that but I am sure there must have been some kind of get together among the cast to view the very first episodes. If I can remember the first episode Katie surely can. I am just thinking maybe that was Katie's way to throw shade at Scheana to keep with drift of all other the story lines on Vanderpump.

I watched that on RHOBH, and on VPR, both were extremely uncomfortable to watch, I’ve been in brandy’s shoes, thankfully only in that aspect of her life, but I do know it’s heartbreaking to break a family unit up!!! We don’t ask for that!! But that girl karma definitely came along and met Scheana has met! I've never been a Katie fan (was too busy noticing how unkind she could be to new women and her boyfriend/fiancé/husband). In fact, I always thought her apparent arrogant, condescending, and controlling nature was a cover for a horribly insecure person. However, I didn't get that vibe at all in this interview and have to wonder if its because she's actually being 100% herself rather than herself as modified/edited to create characters and storylines.
