We meet Flower who has moved from Germany to living in Ghana to start her skincare brand Maua. We head to Ghana’s central region to a 207 acre forest which makes organic essential oils from scratch which she uses in her products. The owner of Portal Forest Estates, Wellington also returned to Ghana from London to cultivate the forest into a fully fledged sustainably managed forest estate.

As an Aesthetician & Skin Specialist of 10 yrs (@aosskin) I think I speak for everyone when I say you’ve really opened our eyes - yet again - to the wonderful planes of Ghana and the potential it holds for others. I’m also interested and looking for more organic skincare brands as some of the pesticides used in our ingredients have been found to cause toxic bio-accumulation. Please where is this forest located,? and in which region,? I am really really impressed that Ghanaians have the intelligence, the knowledge and wisdom and the capability, first to protect nature and secondly, the capacity to venture into any field of endeavour.
