I'm kinda glad I picked up the Dreadwing version of this mold, it seems they've fixed a lot of the problems Megs had. No sparkly paint tho. =P I was also unaware the cannon could extend like that, thanks for demonstrating! ;)

Wow, under 301 Club! Yeah, my Megs has the floopy bits you described, but I find that just having him in a stoic pose is all he really needs to look his best.

He has a M on his forehead... so he's either so egotistical that he had the first letter of his own name molded on his head, or the Dragon Ball character Babidi has been to Cybertron.

What a coincidence, I just got this figure today. Honestly, it was more because I thought it made a nice G2 homage rather than any IDW-related reason. Looks great alongside RtS Laser Prime.

I've alway thought that the leg were meant to fold inwards, not out like u are doing, to fill out the back legs by tuning them into triangular prism like shapes. I may be wrong though, but it would get rid of your hallow leg issue.

Was fiddlinh with mine this morning and it seems mine has much tighter joints. The only slightly loose bits are the knees and they're solid. It's actually a little worrying moving his hips, given how tight they are

I have the takara version and they have all the purple lines painted in. His torso is grey to match better and they made the cannon have a deep red instead of the purple. If you can try to get the takara one, it's a lot better looking

I've had none of those issues with mine. Joints and paint are all fine. The cannon connection is tight too.

There are hinges on those flaps on the back of his legs to close up the gaps on the back of his legs. Unfortunatley, the hinges on my looks as if they're stressing.

Kind of glad I didn't get another Megatron after my attempt to tighten the joints failed. I hoped it was just me but yeah it looks like it's just standard. Here's hoping Leader Megs is better.

Woot! Not only do I get to dodge this cash drain on my wallet this time (because he is already in my possession haha! ((wallet still hurts from the pandoras box prime/magnus pair))), but my Megatron came in far better shape then yours did. No need for floor polish on this one for me. XD Though... You did show me two new things. I had no clue about the shoulder flippy-outy wing things and I didn't know about the ball joint head. It is =super= stiff on mine. ((oh yeah, the reason i didn't know about the wing things is due to the fact that a) I tend not to bother with intstructions the first time, prefering to figure out things for myself until i get stuck and b) the instructions were kinda... yeah. most of the transformer toys I got had instructions that felt... less then helpful most times.) I demand (humbly of course) that you review the mess that is Generations Blitzwing XD (no you don't have to... but man, often i don't really dig much on the missile guns, but the inclusion of the gimmick for him really tipped the already weak quality for me. bleh which makes me super sad since springer/sandstorm turned out sooooooo good.)

Mine came with two right biceps...which due to the sculpt and clearance issues means he can`t transform with all the panels flush and pegged in, meaning he can`t really transform. So now he just spends his time in robot mode sitting on my shelf, mocking and frustrating me...

The left wing on my Generations Megatron doesn't fit into the peg in alt mode 100%. I feel like Hasbro improved the mold's issues when they made Generations Dreadwing.

I don't like the sparkly bits, they make him look dirty all the time. Like a mirror attracting dust, it's not cool, just nasty looking. A uniform dark gray or purple would probably of been better.
