Crosshairs easily had a visually appealing robot mode in the trailers, yet in toy form, he sadly comes up short in that aspect. I really wanted to love this figure but he seems to follow into the same boat as Roadbuster. Not only did I feel Roadbuster have the best design of the wreckers, but like Crosshairs, green is my favorite color. (irrelevant to many but, bear with me here.) and why in robot mode is he primarily green and black when he should have been more along the lines of silver and black? Not only would it have proved to be more appealing and showcasing more details, but would actually be screen accurate. Overall, I feel that Crosshairs here is the product of a good idea, with mixed execution.

Another possibility for the silencers could be barrel extensions. SMGs, with like 4-6" of barrel length, are notoriously inaccurate at any range beyond 50 meters.

Since this'll be in the first wave of movie toys, which there are ALWAYS plenty of, I'm gonna wait and see if they do a Human Alliance of him, or a decent repaint.

I got this guy in that Platinum edition 5 pack Hasbro did and it's amazing what decent paint job and some tweaking does to him. He actually became one of my favourite figures from the fifth movie. Both halves of the car got paint details, his goggles got paint, the torso got way more and varied paint apps and the scary coat back flap got remoulded or fixed somehow because there's no scary snapping or clicking. Everything was made better. Downside being I had to pay $150+ for him but since I didn't have the other 4 Autobots yet, it worked out for me.

Great review as always. I gotta say, I may be the only one here, but I am really excited for this figure. Ever since Toy Fair, I thought he looked cool, and now after the review, after Scorn, he's my most wanted figure of Wave 1. If you fold the rubber parts to the back, he really does look nice.

this WAS the figure i was most excited for, and the kibble doesnt really bother me too much but that SIMPLICITY on the transformation, and that the car isnt a corvette,(but the one step which is the same size IS)

There are a lot of really good ideas here yet slightly failed execution. I do however really like the green and black. They def could of added more detail but this figure seems to be growing on me for some reason.

Nobody wants to see Bricks or even exacty copies of 1986 but that does not give a free pass to the awful bayformer designs either. TF prime designs for example are a perfect blend of what Bay's designers wanted while retaining a nod to the past and still making them seem like expressive alien robots that one can look at and not be distracted by the Myriad of crap going on that is meant to be a face.

Hmm remind me of robots on disguise on the transformation part shell former but he looks pretty cool even like that like the guns as well the car mode looks like drift from generation but green but that is just me, I like the figure has a cape but it looks kind of nice not great transformer but is fine to look up on. Dinobots and Evasion Mode Optimus seem to be great. High Octane Bee and Crosshairs do nothing for me. Not terrible, but nothing that I need to add to my collection. Still, the review was very well done.

Yes, I saw reviews for Optimus (only one not form Vangelus here, yet), Grimlock, Slag, Scorn and Crosshairs. So it's the voyagers and 3/4 deluxes from wave 1 and all of them are on my to-buy list, and the Vyagers I may pick up the platinum editions if the price is not too much.

I'm afraid Takara Optimus alone will cost like the platinum set, and since I'll go and buy Grimlock too (both Voyager and Leader) the set is better suited. And I don't give a **** about Optimus with or without faceplate, it's just the dull painting of the regular that pains me.

I don't like their design for this guy. Overall the design for all characters in the film are too organic for me; too many curves for a robot and it doesn't make sense. The concept art for Crosshairs has his black parachute forming a cool jacket/vest thing and it looks amazing, but a METAL coat? You lost all realism for my robotic alternating figurines thank you very much

Him and Emgo have been to nice, but they actually understand why that is. The CG model will take that piece of shell on the toy and turn it into something that'll flow like a piece of cloth. Besides, it was this, or have a thousand joints on the car to make it flow giving it panel lines to look worse than it currently looks. This is the case with galvatron and FE prime, the CG models can't lead the toy to have a practical transformation...
