Poled version looks like a massive faff. Also poles look insubstantial for something with this big a wind profile. This video makes me want to look at air-beam version.

Do you have the zip up doors open or closed when putting the awning up please?

When you are pitching the awning it is best to have the door open to allow air to get inside of the awning. Before you peg out the awning properly, you would need to make sure the door is closed otherwise you will over-stretch the door and be unable to close it.

What is the rail on the side of the van you are using??

Shame the door canopy does not go right to back of van to clear sliding door on transit custom..nice awning but am not investing

Depending on where you place the awning, it is designed to allow the sliding door to open up within the tunnel section as the point of connect is 240cm long.
