Which tent stands up to high wind the best the wider 650 or the narrow 550 ?

The 550 is more that likely to stand up better in the wind as it has a smaller footprint.

Great overview again Mike. Between the 650xl that you shown here and outdoor revolution 7.0 se, which one do you think is the better buy?

Technically the Airedale 7SE is the higher spec model but then the overall weight and pack size is considerably larger because of this. It comes down to whether you want the double storage pod, zip curtains & dividers and a thicker fabric. The Rome is leaner model with some premium features but also some more basic ones to keep the price point a bit more affordable than its competitor.

@@AttwoollsCoUk thank you for the reply. I see that the outdoor revolution 7se is 150 denier while the the Rome is only 70 denier. Does that mean the 7se is made out of a higher quality polyester?

@@tommieboi707 it is a heavier weight of polyester so will have a longer lifespan but the Rome material is woven in a strong manner which means it’s better than a normal 70D material but not quite as good as the 150D.

Is there any similar styles with fully closed front door as internal one, i had a fab experience of catching a rat twice in my kampa hayling air as the flap at front idea i think is rubbish...its far too drafty at nights aswel...i get its fir air but surely there is enough with vents

If you want zips on all doors then you can look at the Vango Soneva Air 550XL or any Outwell tent.

At the moment we are looking at the first delivery of the year coming in around the middle of August (providing there aren’t any further delays).

It does yes but because the side pod is on the opposite side of the tent, you just have to turn it upside down.

Are the bedrooms in the vango Rome as dark as a Coleman weather master ?

They aren’t as dark but they are more breathable and still quite dark in comparison to other brands.
