Hi Gary, this really does look like a great tent. I have been reading on several forums about the airbeams dropping and also leakage at the bottom of the airbeams (maybe from the 2016 model). In your expert opinion, is that correct? Im very interested in the 2017 model. Can you fully recommend it? Would love your honest opinion.

C J I always tell it how it is... They beams on all the tents we have pitched this year have been superb, in the last 8 weeks or so the only time we have topped them up has been when we have done a demo. The over sized beams on some of the Vango tents (solace) are super stable also. As for water at the base of the beams... we are camping and you can get a large amount of condensation in your tent and the base of the beams are where it collects, luckily the poly cotton tents are far better and don't suffer as much as polyester tents. Any retailer who says "yeah, it's 100% water proof" etc, well walk away as they don't know what they are talking about. if you want 100% waterproof by a brand new caravan and even then you might not get what you want...lol. The Solace is as good as it gets from the main brands, it's a tried and tested tent and fabric and has proved to be superb, I do not know of a bad review. ... if you are interested give us a call or the tent is available on our website or better still come into the store... www.inflatabletentsonline.co.uk

Hi Gary, Thanks for a great honest answer. That makes a massive difference. I hope you dont mind another question? Whats the difference between the Solace 400 and front awning to the Illusion TC 500? Is it just a bit wider and has the side door canopy?

No side door canopy... to be fair if you are buying the Solace TC400 and front awning you are similar in cost to the Illusion TC 500xl but they are different. For me and the wife the Solace on its own is perfect for a 1-2 night stay and with the awning for longer. The Illusion is fine if you go for longer trips mostly I would say.
