Your vid is the first one that I can even see the individual components functioning together. Too many people display their elevator creations but rarely see how things work in sequence. That's what struggling with atm. Timer block sequencing. Merg blocks not connecting, Piston min max, connectors miss aligned, mag plates blah blah blah. Then the fear of a total disaster without a proper save.

It definitely can be a little tricky to get set up. Merge blocks help to keep things aligned and let the projector work but it can be a pain to get them to work right.

I did some testing/designing in a separate creative save but this save started with just a drop pod and way to much time on my hands.

I do have a series going where I am building another one. It is going slow but it is working well using event controllers.

This system was/is as reliable as Space Engineers its self. Keep it fed with components and it will build on until the game bugs out.

Nicely done. Do you have plans to expand the carriage to include cargo and/or landing pads?

I am not sure if it could handle to much weight. Stability is the main problem it is ok once you get it up to speed but has issues at lower speeds. I think a larger cross section on the elevator would help.

I wish i had the CPU for projects like that.. How long is the travel time ground to current top?

It takes about 4min to get to 19.6k up. It is a little faster to go down with the gravity assist. If Space Engineers did a better job of multi-threading it may help you and a few others out.

How would you compare the 2 inventory scripts? just the Colored LCD making wanna switch.

I think IQueue is a little easier on the CPU but not as feature rich. With IQueue you have to put the name of every individual item into the custom data of the container/containers you want them to go to, just putting "ores", "components", or "ignots" in the name does not work. The production control is handled in the custom data of the program block that the script is in. IQueue does allow you to limit its reach, just put all the assemblers, refineries, and containers into a single group and it will use only that group.
