Such an adorable bond these two share, and I love how we see that bond grow over the course of the story. It was interesting to go between Emberlin and the mage's POV during the princess' party, and I do like how the latter does actually seem to lack romantic interest in the mage, which only makes her jealousy more humorous.

That was a happy accident! There are two versions of the second script which takes place at the ball -- one with the princess, one without -- and I accidentally recorded the one without, not realizing the other existed! That's where the internal monologue is. Only afterward did I realize the script with the princess had the back-and-forth during the dance. It was too compelling not to do as well...so I recorded both, chopped them up, and married them as best I could so I wouldn't lose anything. ^^;

HER BACKSTORY IS SO SAD YET SO WHOLESOME. Never did I think in my life I would ever want to give a demon girl a hug, yet here we are. JUNIPER DID THE BRATTY OLDER SISTER ROLE SO WELL. "I thought you don't mix work and love." Rules are meant to be broken, like the spinal cords of royalty! Odd that this demon familiar feels so much more human than many of the other recent portrayals; I dig it! My harem of reformed and Reformed Protestant demon girls is growing and will soon be unstoppable in my pursuit of postmillennial dominionism!!
