It's the beginnings of an awareness of God as Spirit, which is necessary for receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior. She was raised Protestant so she knew the Gospel message...but there is a difference between "knowing" the Gospel message and accepting that you're a sinner who needs the grace of Jesus' salvation every day for eternity. That difference could be that your "cup of iniquity" must overflow and Jesus becomes your only salvation. She finally submitted to Him when she needed saving from an overdose. Then she walked out her salvation for the next 25+ years. Everyone who will be saved is marked for salvation and you can usually see the "seed" of awareness of God as Spirit in them as children - before the enemy smashes their faith - especially if they are raised in church or by Christian parents. See Romans 8.

I've always thought so, too. In my opinion, she had the perfect facial features. Perfect eyes, eyebrows, nose, cheekbones, lips and skin. She had the perfect smile because of all that. She tried to tell Prince he wasn't listening he crossed over months after her. If anybody knew Prince it was her n she couldn't talk to him smh. Sweet, sweet Vanity...always had a connection / love for God...I agree with her on the religion thing...to me you do not need to go to church..the church isn't going to save you. To me it's not about religion and which you belong to but whom you serve and how much faith you have in that being...that's what matters, at the end of the day. As for dear Prince they seriously needed to stop asking her about him. It's obvious she was still sprung on him (as she'll continue to be until her death). Just listen to her response to when the interviewer asked her about whether she was seeing someone else. Vanity could have been had someone by then, but I believe she didn't want to see anyone else BUT Prince. Prince was the same way about her (I don't care about Susannah; he just used her as a distraction. From what I heard he really initially wanted Wendy, but couldn't get with her since she was gay, so he shifted his feelings onto Susannah, her sister. Always wondered why he went for Susannah for hard....

October 19th, 20 beyond yeah that was her understanding at the time because she was in the world in sin. Listen to her in her later years after she got saved she never missed church because she knows you shouldn't forsake the assembling of the saints. Church can't save you but it does provide a place for help, reassurance, spiritual support, and strength. What people dont understand is that "we" are the church the people. We make up the body of Christ which is called the church. Spend some time actually in a good church with carring, supportive, spirit filled, loving people for 6months-to a year then don't go to church n tell me the difference. You'll be back to your thoughts n actions you did before you were saved because your "in the flesh" your spirit is not being fed. So you lack spiritual nutrients.

acgillespie Riiight demons are attracted to those conditions we open doors for them to come in because we dont have any armor to protect us we are moved by our flesh n drawn in then addictions happen. I used to live in a very angry house i could feel spirits being brought into the home the anger brought them unforgiveness also then i learned my mom was doing witch craft there was visitations n everything. So i gave my life to the Lord n i was able to fight it! I was really into Prince then that really didnt help it only drew me into the sensual sexual side the lust of the flesh n eyes. But once i.learned my identity in Christ i was freed from those spirits n feelings. So imagine growing up abused, molested, abandoned now a star n sex symbol so.it actually is more of a trap now you have to pretend to be this star n symbol while your being tormented by spirits n hiding depression so you get high n sex it up. I had issues dealing with some of these same things that's why i think i related to Vanity n Prince so much as a youth..we all want someone who understands. But nobody understands and can free you but the Lord Almighty. My name in high School was "Lil Prince Charles" Now I've discovered a lot of my friends growing up suffered from depression/ mental illness but i also learned that they had a history of witchcraft, newage in there familes too! I prayed n still praying for their redemption.
