@Vault x Is Ed being paid to direct a multi-million dollar movie? If someone crashes a helicopter through complete fault of their own, they're a bad helicopter pilot. Even though 99.999999% of Earths population (including me) have never even taken off a helicopter, I'm still going to think they're a bad helicopter pilot. Same goes for any director making a bland paint by numbers corporate movie. Unless we're talking about some non-profit amateur fan-film, "you do better" is rarely a good comeback. Edit: I don't think the movie's as bad as others are making it out to be. It's actually surprisingly decent. I just hate when people use that argument.

In my opinion, the critics didn’t include one thing in their review “target audience” they keep forgetting that the target audience isn’t meant for people who are as critical as them, it is meant for people looking for a good story to just enjoy, which is given in this movie. Venom with Tom Hardy was a great ORIGINAL story that doesn’t follow the comic EXACTLY but it’s good because it’s capitalizing that it’s NOT a Spider-Man movie, but a VENOM movie.

I enjoyed the movie, heck even loved it, but I have a few questions, like why did the scientists lady ask Eddie Brock to help her do... that's right, what? She never stated her motives and just asked for "help". Also why did Eddie need a girlfriend? She didn't bring anything to the table in terms of plot development, the dog coulda brought him the symbiote. And why did Venom change his mind about Earth? All they did was try to capture/kill venom and it's host. I could go on for hours with these questions but 8/10

Solomon Moua I think the bonding done with Venom and Eddie Venom learning about Eddie's brain and personality, and comparing himself to Eddie makes Venom see potential in Earth and remember the Beauty venom saw at the top of the Building? It's because it's not MCU. I love the MCU but its stans are so toxic. (And before anyone attacks me, every fanbase has a share of similar idiots). Marvel has created a safe formula, and they get decent reviews because "critics" like that. Since Venom isn't in the MCU, it gets nitpicked. There's no way Thor The Dark World deserves better reviews/scores than Venom.

Stavros not really, I and a lot of others love the mcu but we all see the flaws and we don’t ignore them, i hats black panther, i hate Iron man/Thor 2, me and a lot of people hate captain marvel (both character and movie). the humor doesn’t always land, the villains don’t really have a chance of being in a sequel, but we love it for the characters we grew up with being in averagely good movies, like the first time we see iron man in live action and it’s awesome and is a good movie while this is just enjoyable at best, I love Spider-Man but even I think that into the spider verse was bad, honestly I think Logan is the marvel movie followed by Spider-Man 2 and captain America winter soldier, I love the character of venom and I enjoy the movie, but I agree that the movie was bad, the villain is very underwhelming, the characters act very unnatural, the script and dialogue are very cliche and cringy, venoms motivations are just bad, I think it’s on par with TASM 1 maybe less (also this movies has stans too, go on any venom video and al the comments are “critics are dumb, I liked it, 9/10” you can like something and It can still be bad, for example, a lot of people love TASM 2, even I enjoy some things in it, but it will always be the worst Spider-Man movie) I agree everything has stans but to say only the mcu is like saying joker is only good bc it’s not in the dceu when Shazam was already great

@@dxthhy Nah, I Meant What I Said The Film Didn't Really Embellish On The Characters Outside Of Eddie. It Was Rushed And The Only Thing Holding My Interest Was Tom Hardy Because He's A Great Actor...But The Writing Was Trash

NoahBility You’re contradicting yourself. No matter how good an actor is, if it has “bad writing” then the actor can’t hold your interest lmao.
