Andy serkis doesn’t get enough credit as an actor, a motion capture artist and director. He’s really fantastic at all of these things and has such an understanding of his craft as all three many cgi characters such as the hulk, thanos, venom, Gollum and even King Kong wouldn’t be even remotely believable without this mans input and skill, direct or indirect

@@SilentGAMER-c9r - There are different kinds of symbiotic relationships. Parasitic, mutualistic, and commensalistic. There's nothing in there that says the symbiote shouldn't experience emotions. Why would being an alien change that? Superman, Gamora, Thanos, Martian Manhunter, and Invincible are all aliens who have feelings. The Venom symbiote is sentient, so it stands to reason he can feel and form attachments (literally, seeing as attachment is his whole thing).

That’s partly why they come to blows like this, their anger fuels each other and creates a feedback loop. Alien doesn’t always = monster especially in marvel. Venom (particularly as the character stands now) is more Deadpool anti hero type than The Thing

This was so interesting! I love hearing Andy explain all these technical details and that he took this film seriously. It really shows in the final result how much Andy understood how to create and execute a precise vision that would flesh out Eddie and Venom’s relationship but also offer entertaining action sequences! 😄🕷🕸

I am so, so glad that they have chosen Andy to direct Venom. Ruben Fleischer was terrible at his job, for you could totally feel that he didn't know anything about these characters. Andy is so different and you can just see how much fun he and Tom had, while working on this movie. If Venom 3 should happen, I so hope Andy will direct it again :)

It is crazy for me to know that Andy can direct movies because I’ve only seen him being an actor in movies like Avengers Age of Ultron, Black Panther, Star Wars Episode VII The Force Awakens and Star Wars Episode VIII The Last Jedi. Add on top of that the fact that this is a one-take scene in which he is improvising dialogue while brushing his teeth, drinking water, and listening to himself in his ear. I think I can forgive a few mispronounced syllables here or there. Edit: Okay, nevermind, his accent really falls apart near the end.

When you speak loud or fast (like here because they have an argument) accents are very hard to maintain. Every huge variations in the speech pattern may disturb the concentration of the actor. And i reckon that in an another more serious film they probably would have taken another take. In fact Hardy can do it, he did it in the Drop and Warrior perfectly.

I am SUCH a fan of Andy Serkins since I have usage of memory, what a brilliant artist!! When I went to see Venom 2, I hadn’t seen Venom 1 so I thought I was gonna be quite lost but it was sooo good. One of the thing i love about eddie and how tom plays him in this movie is side Eddie's "coward" side, like little scream, or the way he put his hands up in the first movie, even if he is well built and typical in shape for "super hero" character, he is not a "badass" brute who punch anyone, he 3 has a human side inside his character, scared of guns, try to reason, and scared of situation, even after having venom inside him he still has this quality, i loved it

Andy explains how venom is a long trailer that sets up the post credit scene. Which sets up another future movie. This will then set up a whole universe. Giving birth to more interconnected movies. Which will set up a conclusion crossover. This will end old character arcs and start new ones. Giving way for a new set of franchise films.

i feel like let there be carnage could be really memorable and unique but it was SO RUSHED. i hated hearing everyone complain about it but then i saw the movie and the concepts were SO GOOD THEY WORKED SO WELL and they were so unique. the movie was hilarious and awesome but it just had no breathing room to make it feel like it mattered.
