She's very serious about social understanding of mental illnesses. She did a symposium tour a few years ago where she discussed her own family history with it.. @humournoir73164 жыл бұрын
Bunny was an attempt to be seen as a psychopath. She did something hideously vile and evil to show a message that she is able to do anything to Dan to get even/get what she wants. When a mobster kills something, he’s shown as a badass gangster, but when a woman is boiling a pet in fury, nobody has any doubts that she’s mental? Think about It. I’m not saying she is the saint, she has mental problems, but they are a cause of this treatment. She was never to good to be given love for more than a limited amount of time, cause guys like Dan had more important stuff going on - family. The most unfamiliar of things to her. Think about it.

I have been on my soapbox about Glenn Close for literally decades. I don't know why the Academy overlooks her time and time again. They always seem to determine that the performance of another actress was better than hers. With all due respect to Cher, Glenn should have won the Oscar way back in 1987 for *Fatal Attraction* . I have been outraged about that ever since. Olivia Colman turned in a wonderful performance in *The Favourite* but was it really better than Glenn in *The Wife?* And now here we are in 2021. I recently read some Oscar previews where someone predicted that Glenn would win the SAG for Hillbilly Elegy but she wouldn't win the Oscar. They said "Glenn will surely win *one day* but this isn't her year." One day? Are you kidding me? How old will Glenn have to be? She just turned 74 years old this month for crying out loud. When will this wonderful and iconic actress finally get the recognition she deserves? For the love of God...let it be this year.
