Can't believe she still has not won an Oscar. Hollywood REALLY doesn't like her. LOL I mean her performance in Fatal Attraction was so phenomenal it should've won her the Oscar no matter who she is against and they gave the Oscar to Cher!! Cher!!!!! She's a talented singer but she only had one facial expression and one facial expression only throughout that entire movie and they gave her an Oscar. LOL Unreal!! And then she just kept losing to other formidable actresses like Jodie Foster, Meryl Streep, Olivia Coleman and etc. and now I guess she's waiting for the Oscar Award for Lifetime Achievement unless they nominate only her for the Best Supporting Actress or Best Actress category and just give her the Oscar because she certainly deserves it more than anyone else.

This was such a great idea for a skit -- putting Alex in a support group to talk about her "issues." I like how she massages her wrists nervously. The knife in the purse was a great touch! My favorite part is the nonchalant look on her face and casual tone in her voice when she says, "I boiled the rabbit." This is also a good parody of these kinds of support groups that were popular in the 80s.

@@lexkanyima2195what do you mean so? If you’ve watched the entire evolution of SNL I don’t think you’d comment this. It’s an asinine comment tbh. As for the original comment, I agree that there was something wonderful about this cast. I don’t think it’s that other casts were t talented or not funny. There was definitely something special about this era though. I thought the same thing while watching this. Also that there were far less stupid or silly skits the. Compared to more recent years. I don’t even watch it anymore and honestly couldn’t even tell you who the cast is today. There are so many skits from SNL from its inception and all through my life that I honestly remember character tears and skits from every point in my life, despite the fact that I didn’t even watch it religiously.

@@burlykim132um, you don’t even watch it anymore? I was 14 years old when this debuted. When I watched the episode where none of the prime time players were going to return I figured why stay up late and watch the show. So I probably missed some good skits, not out of protest, because I was asleep , working etc back then. And while I agree with you on silly skits that’s always hit or miss. And sometimes hits don’t age well. The show, at its best, lampoons current culture. That’s going to change no matter what. IE it’s easy for me to say the show got old back in the 80s yet an entire new audience discovered it.

Back then they used to go after everyone equally and they didn't constantly have celebrity guests. I mean, there were the hosts obviously, but you didn't have Bob DeNiro, Alec Baldwin, Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders etc popping up all the time. Lorne's too old for this shit. Fatal Attraction was one of my fave movies! Glenn was fitted for the role of Alex and Michael D was perfect as Dan. The scariest part for me was when Alex was sitting on the floor and listening to Madame Butterfly! You can see the insanity in her eyes. Excellent actress!!! 👍👌👍👌👍🌹🌹🌹🌹

@@jobuck879 Yeah. Most remakes suck because they're such obvious cash-grabs, nothing but the original script filmed with a modern, "who the kids are into these days" cast. But when a remake actually does something new and creative with the source material, it can be great and stand out with an identity all its own. "Fatal Attraction" is one of those films that would definitely be interesting to see in a 21st century setting.

True story. I happened upon Glenn Close in an alley after the release of Fatal Attraction. Confusing her with the character, I was afraid. Then, about a month later, I heard her on NPR and the person interviewing her noted that she'd cut her hair. Ms. Close explained that she did so because people were afraid of her in curls, confusing her with Alex. Sorry 'bout that, Ms. Close. I'm an idiot.

I saw this movie in the theaters when I was in elementary school 😰 Back then, parents wanted to see movies and would take kids of any age so that there wasn’t a need for a babysitter. Spent 90% of the film with my mom’s hands covering my eyes. In the 80s, kids were legit exposed to absolutely everything 🥴
