Great Video! I bought it too. Try this out: Aspect ratio "point to point" and check out the contrast set to 60, brightness 46 and sharpness 60. I figured out that in ptp you get a much more accurate color space out of this little beast. My red have been pink a lot of times. After changing that, it got fixed! It adds much more shadow details to the picture and still got its deep blacks ;)

Many thanks for this! TL;DR: Aspect Ratio "Point to Point". Picture Mode "User" Contrast: 37, Brightness 53. Color Temperature "User" R: 63, G:40, B: 70. The "Point to Point" mode is totally undocumented in the manual, and the actual Aspect Ratio stays the same as "Just Scan", so no idea why it's in that menu, also it doesn't appear at all until you scroll past "Just Scan" to the next page! But as you say, it completely changes the contrast/colour response, and better yet it no longer blows out the bright highlights, nor lose details in the dark areas. This is the only mode where you can achieve this. I used AVS HD 709 to calibrate mine in "Point to Point" mode, and my settings came out at: Contrast 37, Brightness 53. Colour and Sharpness I left at 50. (I'm not sure Sharpness does anything in "Point to Point" mode, I couldn't see any difference between 0 and 100. Also in "Point to Point" mode the Noise Reduction option is disabled.) Then also for Colour Temperature: User, R: 63 G: 40 B:70. Set like this the picture is very good indeed with excellent colour reproduction, and fine detail in dark and bright areas. Of course, there's quite a bit of variability between units, and screen/wall colours, ambient lighting, etc. but these settings should be a decent starting point.

Nice review! I’ve been in the market for a good quality low budget project for a while now. But most budget projects are misleading and don’t get good reviews. However I stumbled across this one today. And have already seen over a dozen reviews on this. It’s has had all positive feedback and everyone has recommended it. I just ordered mine off Amazon about 2 hours ago. Should be here by Thursday. Really looking forward to trying it out. Thanks so much for sharing :)

Olen Tennery how you like the projector? I mounted mine so far so good
@olentennery73595 жыл бұрын
I absolutely love it. Only had it 2 days and I’m impressed. I was scetchy at first about it having 5,000 Lumens. There is so many misleading information about Lumens on budget projectors. But after I put it in a heavy lite room and it still had a ok picture I was definitely very into it. I’ve got it on a Projector Stand and it’s doing great. Sound quality is not bad but I have it hooked up to a nice Samsung All in one sound bar. It’s probably the best $250 I ever spent on a device!

@@olentennery7359 That's good man, I have mine running to a sony 7.1 dts 4k receiver with Onkyo thx speakers, the fan noise is noticeable but it's much quieter than my old projector so definitely no complaint! The screen looks uneven.(right side larger) It’s probably the reason the right side looks blurry and the left side is fine. You need to turn the projector left a bit. Use a measuring tape to make sure the left and right side vertical measurements are the same. Awesome review btw! The only review that actually shows refresh rate. Do you happen to know what the input lag and response time of the projector? I’ve been trying to search for the info online, but couldn’t find any.

The wall has kind of a slightly steper angle going inwards for the right side its just not flat. As for the numbers they are provably no where to be found unless tested. WiiNV, There are a few differences between the V600 and Jedx M18. The V600: 5000 LUX to Jedx M18 3000 Lumens, Contrast Ration: V600: 5000:1 vs Jedx M18: 1000:1 (which is less than Vankyo's bottom line projector the Leisure 3) So that may be the best comparison here. I gave you a LIKE and I even hit the subscribe button just to help as much as I could. I will even go back and turned off Ad Remover and watched this whole video with that off. But Optoma is one the best projectors. I have tried a few other brands and for the $500 to $850 range this is the best. @LifeKommando5 жыл бұрын
The Elite Screens i want to try and review once i am back from my trip. The only reason you would get the one in the video is for its price and flexibility if you have trees in the right place to tie it. Reasons to get the yard 2 elite are for its multilayer material. Included metal frame. And how it reflects light properly to get clean colors without bleed and things should overall have better black levels and more clarity. Otherwise i would try and invest in a good screen in the end its what will make the biggest difference Hope this helps

Based upon the desktop demonstration, I count six frames of input latency. That would be 100ms at 60Hz, which is equivalent to a very slow TV and would not be particularly usable for FPS titles. Vankyo sells more newer models in USA and old outdated garbage models in Canada. Example V700 or V630W or VF630T or VF620T (Newer models) are sold only in USA and not in Canada. What a partiality service that is Vankyo ???? By this Canadian customers are forced to only buy outdated models. I didnot buy V630 for its very high fan noise. Many had complaints with V630 for its fan noise.
