Glad I found you! I was putting one of these Tanks underneath my Van and then it came across to me as to "Hey, how am I gonna check if I still have water in the tank?" Good to the Point Video, thanks!

Hey there! This was incredibly helpful! We just installed one with the Kus instructions and your video. The only thing I'd add is the drill bit size for pre drilling the screw holes. We ended up using a 9/64 drill bit and it worked perfectly. It seemed to bite just enough.

I’ve just tried the wiring on my unit bought in the UK. Though the colours are different it works the same. Thanks very much for this. I literally couldn’t have worked it out independently.

Great video. Easy to understand and follow, eventually. I have to figure out how to hook it up to electricity before I buy the sensor. I’d like for it to be a DIY. At the moment, I’m thinking of pigtailing the source from an outlet, will this do? I have a 1973 Chinook Slide in camper with, according to the water in sensor, isn’t a 12 gal tank. Would it be right to multiply the LxWxD to get the volume or capacity? Thanks In advance if you answer the Q and thanks again for the installation video. The retro or white will go with the camper aesthetics.

Nice video, just realized I have the wrong sized level. Had this thing in storage for 8 mos. smh
@MrKidQueso Жыл бұрын
David, my tank is 16” in height, and I don’t know if it has ridges. What size is what you bought and is it something you have and would sell? It’s more important to know when I know this goes back almost a year, but do you still have the level? For me, it important to know when it gets close to empty, so I can work with something that’s between 11” and 15” in depth. If I have time, I’ll use my snake camera to see inside it, and check to see if there are ridges. Thanks.

Hi, I have followed your excellent instructions but when I connect up to the power red cable the sensor doesn't move, the only thing that happens is a yellow flashing light, hopefully you can give me some help. Thanks Mark

Hello, thanks for The Information. My question is how you can change The range of The meter, since my watertank has a shorter range than The length of the sensor.
@VanLand3 жыл бұрын
You can order the sensor in different depths depending on the water depth in your tank.

Do you think the float will continue to be free to fall and rise in a black tank over time? Or will it be stuck after a while? Or should the float be stainless steel?
@VanLand3 жыл бұрын
Never tried it in a black tank- only fresh and gray water.

I also want to know this. I think it will work.
@ronpaguio90142 жыл бұрын
@@foosballjunkie why would you want to do this?
@foosballjunkie2 жыл бұрын
@@ronpaguio9014 I fill my water tank at the back of the van, so I installed 1 gauge back there. I installed a 2nd gauge inside the van so that I can see the level without getting out and getting in the back of the van. I have a bike rack on the back of the van, And I really only move it out-of-the-way if I’m going to fill the water tank or use the exterior shower. I haven’t run power to the interior gauge yet, but the rear gauge is working well, and the wires are all set to go to the front gauge.
@MrsFelecia142 жыл бұрын
@@foosballjunkie I also want to know this as well. I'll use 1 gauge from inside the van to monitor the level. And a 2nd gauge in the rear when I fill the water tank. I'd also like to know what wire size (AWG) to get. Thank you!
@foosballjunkie2 жыл бұрын
@@MrsFelecia14 I did successfully incorporate a 2nd gauge! I believe the wire is 18 AWG.

Hello there!. Great Video. Just liked. Im doing a Camper build and installing new tanks. What would you say are the benifits to using this type of sensor? Do the floats get stuck? There seems to be little to no info out there on using the float styles vs the little digital screw ins. However there is ALOT of info on fixing broken/nonfunctioning digital sensors. Not a good sign in my view.
@VanLand3 жыл бұрын
I haven’t experienced the floats getting stuck. But I have experienced electronic sensors going bad so pretty much just use the float sensors now. Also they are very accurate if you get the right depth of sensor.
@callmesaul29802 жыл бұрын
Question, could I install 2 gauges on 1 sensor?
@foosballjunkie2 жыл бұрын
I tried to do this and it didn’t work well. Both gauges received a signal from the sensor, but it was wildly inaccurate. My end solution was to install 2 sensors and 2 gauges.
