Great vid! One tip re: cleaning clams. Throw a handful of cornmeal in the water. Clams filter this & helps purge sand & mud.

Fun seeing the clams. We used to dig them up, get back on the boat and eat them right there -- plain, with lots of butter, no sides, (except maybe beer) lol! The maple blossoms must be a real treat -- wish I could have a taste. Thanks for taking us down to the shore. It's very exciting to hear you are planning a travel adventure. After blowing the shells, you could fill with wax to reduce fragility and then coat them with whatever hard topcoat you like, from shellac to nail polish or maybe even beeswax, to further reduce cracking.

I was on the island a couple of weeks ago and picked up Briony Penn’s A Year on the Wild Side at the Laughing Oyster bookshop in Courtenay. Lovely book, will be useful when I return in the fall. Your foraged dinners looked amazing. Those beautiful eggs were so colourful, like natural Easter eggs. Cool wrt to Bluetti sponsor. Will be interesting to see how they work out.
