What an amazing young lady!! I am totally jealous of her spunk, drive and obviously, fearlessness. I have recently been planning my RV life, but It wasn’t until I turned 60 that I discovered that it was even possible. I don’t regret my life, but I wonder what could have been if I had been as fearless as Jacey. I also quite enjoy being alone, so I am counting the days until I can head off on my own. So dear Jacey, I want to be just like you now that I’m all growed up! 🤗

I'm happy to see I'm not the only person planning do this lifestyle at a older age I'm 56 now. I wish I Knew about this kind of lifestyle when I was younger. I loved traveling even when I was younger I would travel every chance I got. Plus I did a lot of camping from a very young child my family didnt have money when I was a kid. So our big weekends was camping and I loved it. I have spent many weekends, weeks and even months camping near my home. I spent lots of time in the Everglades. Of course when I was younger we didnt have the problems with the big snake. The pythons weren't seen in the glades back then not to sure I would like being out with those big snake. Gators never bothered me but big snake kind of freak me out a bit lol.. Now that I'm 56 I've been looking for a school bus on the smaller size around 20 ft I need it big enough to have a small full bathroom. As we get older making it all night without going to pee once or twice a night is close to impossible lol. Anyways glad to see someone else close to my age isnt scared to give this lifestyle a try. I believe we can do it even at our age. I think it will be nice to travel relax and see the beautiful this country has to offer. Plus it's a cheap way to retire and travel. Maybe one day we will run into each other out there on the road. Im not on my youtube account this is a friends account he was nice enough to let me use his phone to do a few things my phone isnt working correctly. I'm not Daniel Whitehead. I am also a older women who will be doing nomad lifestyle/van life solo. I have done lots of research on nomad lifestyle/van life only thing we need to do is be safe out there. We have to have protection weither it be a gun, bear or wasp spray, taser, cattle prong its also good for hiking, pepper spray or all of the above never can have to much protection. Also never park where your blocked in or have to back out of the space. Always park facing out to your exit of your spot for easy get away. A dog is always one of the best things u can have its god for protection, a alarm, plus good company. Also think they make a hiking stick now that also give a hell of a shock like a cattle prong good for hiking if u come up on a unfriendly animal. Another solo women said your first few weeks everything seem to spook her every little noise but you get over it. She says she never gets spooked like that anymore but it was strange at first nut us will get use to it. Just wanted to give u that little tidbit... Wish you the best, enjoy life, Happy adventures makes wonderful memories.

@@FearlessJacey You have so many great ideas. Staying at campsites a couple days a week, Two Jackery's, side door mud room entrance, (I will be removing my passenger seat) The ladder, the fan, I too have a fiberglass top so I wasn't sure if I could do what you did, Now I know. My challenge is how to load my lectric bike. I feel I need to keep it inside due to thieves. It's heavy and my van is high. I'll make it work. It's going with me. I have almost gotten rid of everything i own. It's been freeing and saddening. Only because I had to let go of all the memories which many are really horrible so I relived them. PTSD came back full speed. Not things have simmered down and I am so excited again, seriously, thanks to you. I really mean that. Thank you so very much.

Hi Fearless. I hope you don’t mind some advice from a retired health and safety minded person. Water and electricity don’t mix. I recommend that you move your Jackerys away from your sink so you can avoid damage to them. A spill down the front of the Jackery could cause its end, unless it is waterproof. You know what they say about an ounce of prevention... it’s worth a pound of cure! You can be Fearless and cautious!

It's hard, but it only gets harder the longer you wait to start. Baby steps will get you there! When I began my build, I made a checklist with itty bitty steps like "Bring tape measure out to the van. Measure the length. Measure the width. Write down measurements." It seemed much simpler with baby steps outlined for me.

On the passenger side in the back of the van, was the jack for changing a tire. I took that out and drilled a 4" hole in the floor. Back in the van I put a filter with a fan on top. it blows the air toward the other side. I use a rechargeable battery to run the fan at night or when I an not in the van. I cut our a 6" square stainless steel plate and glued magnets to it. I got a small handle and bolted it to the plate. This covers the hole underneit the van when traveling.

You can do it! It is galvanized gas pipe fittings from a home center and a few brackets.

Michelle, the table is relatively easy! I followed a video on the channel Back to Reality. They did a whole tutorial on it.

Possibly vent type cover used for a window mounted fan. The window goes, a flat piece of wood, or aluminum, or other, that has the hole cut in for the fan, to be used. The cover over the fan, may be permanently open, or screened, then use the fan or not, as needed. Similar to roof fan covers. Then, can have white perforated aluminum covering for the windows. No-see-in, privacy. Cool van. Great pet. Thanks for sharing the van & life style & your time. #Peace

I love how so much of the van revolves around the cat. I love what you've done here! Beautiful!! And also a plug for New Jersey. I am a native South Jerseyan (Jerseyite) in exile in Charleston SC x 34 years but my roots are strong & NJ is dissed so much. Jersey Strong!!

Seen this video 5 months ago, while caring for a small hobby farm in South Jersey. Seen your rig once at a intersection, Patrick. Too bad I was a passenger in my ex's Excursion. Today, am full timing in my Quigley work van. Love it down here, in the Cape May County area. Seeking any useful info and resources from like minds. Started a channel many months back, not much content. Would love to make friends on here, local and abound. Have many skills to share, on here and perhaps in person. Love this community and support it any way possible. Thank you for your time! Tommy

Simple & economical yet as practical and enjoyable as the more high-end models. Hate using the word "kudos", but kudos to this young lady for her go-get'em fortitude. Tool chest and all made her a 'woman after my own heart'...lol. And she made sure she had a toilet! Because the "sprinter" type vans are so much more expensive I've considered buying an extended regular van and installing my own high-top like her model. They're somewhere around $1,200 to $2,000 from what I understand (uninstalled I believe). Impressive!!...edit...subscribed!
