Loved this .. wish you had driven around Miles City a little bit .. i grew up there as an Air Force brat in the early 1960's. . Hope to go back for a long visit someday. I remember those mosquitos!! Mom & i wore thick bobby socks, and while hanging the laundry on the clothesline those mean buggers would bite us all the way thru our socks! ... sooooo many memories of Miles City 👍😎

Awesome video, sure the drone footage is great and the video of the amazing sunset was nice but I am commenting here to say that your windshield footage while driving and entering new campsites is what I really like. The time lapsed road footage is great because it gives everyone watching a sense of the really long miles you travel.

Awesome videos lately! Some of the newer bug repellents have no DEET like Natrapel and Avon Skin So Soft. And they work good. I use them on my adventure dual sport motorcycle. Inside my van I use Country Vet brand insect spray from Tractor Supply, for any bugs that get inside. It's 100% organic, made from orchid flowers, and kills everything that flies or crawls! I personally despise bugs, especially biting ones : (

When I told people I was trying to do the beet harvest they all assumed working at the plant you drove by. Total union situation to work there pretty sure. Glad you enjoyed western dakota, what an awesome spot you found! I see a lot of people saying you need to be fishing.... although they aren't wrong... but an out of state fishing license in Montana is pretty pricey! It costs an out of state person twice as much (last time I looked) as a resident for a 10 day license!
@ilenestrong4188 жыл бұрын
You are correct. Miles City is not in eastern Montana, it is West Dakota. I'm from MT west of the Divide.

Out of state fishing license in Montana is $35 for 2 days, $66 for 10 days and $96 for the season. Out of state fishing is really expensive. Illegal fishing is even more expensive ... if you get caught. fwp.mt.gov/fishing/license/

Some Deep Woods OFF will help keep the mosquitoes away from you. Where did you find your stereo that looks like an inverter? I enjoy your videos and have learned a lot from them. Thank you!
@AdventureVanMan8 жыл бұрын
+David S Hey thanks, I do keep OFF with me but really hate the smell. I got the stereo from ebay for about $10. Its from China, says KAWACHI MA-D20 on it. It is 12 volt 2channel FM receiver and has a USB and SD card slot to play Mp3. Also has RCA line input on the back. I got it because it has a Mic input on the front so I can plug in my travel electric guitar. ☺👍✌
@davids65338 жыл бұрын
AdventureVanMan The smell don't do much for me either, but I dislike the mosquitoes even more. I think almost everything comes from China now. Anyway, it looks very unique and has features I like but don't see on other stereos. Thank you for the info., and I wish you the best!
@sonomaview8 жыл бұрын
OFF is some pretty nasty chemical spray to put on your skin (your bodies largest organ). I would suggest any type of natural repellent. I'm sure our ancestors had a problem with mosquitos and found plenty of natural repellent to help.

I noticed the "Little Cesar's" napkin. Do they have any in those small remote towns? For about the same price you could get a CiCi's pizza to-go or spend a dollar or two more and get the all you can eat buffet.

The one thing that worries me is that once I get out on the road I won't be able to find a good but sporadic income. I would think that once people find out that you are a traveler full time, they won't want to hire you thinking that you will just up & leave soon.
@Covinaman-008 жыл бұрын
He spoke about income during a recent podcast. Brian said that he makes money which only lasts him about 5 months out of the year. He stated something about re-evaluating his finances, if i heard him right.

Sugar beet harvest and Amazon are good opportunities for $ and they don't care if you're single and what you live in.

Yea but I can't help thinking that a few bucks invested at the market & maybe a few cartons of cigs & you can do well at a Phish show. And they tour year round so you can work when you want & take off when you want basically. Not just Phish either. Plenty of shows to work these days. Chicken wraps all day baby!!!
