You do a great job Jason, your channel is absolutely amazing! Watching your journeys through the east coast and mid-coastal areas of NSW has been such a treat. The way you combine biking, hiking, and your drone footage really brings the beauty of Australia to life in a way that feels both inspiring and grounding. Your videos are a true testament to the natural wonders of this country, and they make me appreciate the stunning landscapes even more. Keep up the great work, your adventures are a fantastic way to showcase the beauty of Australia to the world! Your arm is healing great.👍

I agree - Our impressions of the places we visit on any given day are so heavily influenced by the sky, whether it be sunny or overcast. Thank god your parents migrated to the sunny great southern land.👍🏻

Another great video Jason. Yep. coffee in hand and watching it for a second time. I like the mechanical sympathy you have for your drone. I'm a mechanical empath myself. Thanks as always for the great tour and adventure. Cheers, Sean.

Morning Jason. Enjoyable video, thanks. Really liked the Mt Penang Gardens footage. Everything drone that you do is great, too. Very interesting seeing the geography from above. Be patient with your arm recovery. It will pay dividends later. Cheers Helen

Thanks Helen 😊 The gardens were better than I expected....by a long way! I love the Lotus pond. Very unusual to see that in Aus.

Loved the footage of Mt Penang Gardens, then the kooky little track that led to those random grave markers. More great beach n cave footage too 😊 Totally relate to weather-dependent mood. Grey and overcast to me = low mood, always has been. When the sky is blue everything is well with the world 😉😊 Stick with the exercises for your arm - really does pay off in the long term. Grey and overcast today down here in Melbs; but while viewing all that big blue sky & clear blue ocean my spirits are up! Many thanks Jason for all you do to create a cruisy half hour for us still in the rat race 😊

It's funny, when I was working the grey rainy days never bothered me.... actually made me feel better about needing to work because I couldn't go out and enjoy myself anyway 😂 I've certainly noticed a massive change now. But hey, most the time the weather is pretty ok 😁 Always puts a smile on my face to know you enjoyed the video. Really appreciate your comments!😊

Hey Jason, after the old cemetery if you had kept walking along the beach to the rock platform there are some huge deep and beautiful pools and then just further there are the Pink Caves. Not technically allowed to go there but the signs are very hard to see LOL. Only proceed at LOW tide and you are fine.
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces8 күн бұрын
I went up there once before, up to a small canyon. Yeah, it was pretty good. Better on a sunny day though! 😂 I'll have have a better look around there some time.

Thanks Ben. I did a video in Somersby Falls a few months ago. Great spot that...I walked way down stream 😁 There was a lot more there than I expected. Also been over to Girrakool park. Some really nice falls there too.

My mood also affects by the colour of the sky = weather... funny enough, now that I think about it, I had only been once having my workstation inside the area without window in my adult life. I had once even gone to my manager's office and asked for a spotlight to freshen up my mood, of course the request was not able to meet 😂😂 Always like to see the reality of you retrieving your little "stupid dog" drone 😉 Rest well with your arm, yes, physio helps. Few years back I broke my left ankle (the lower part of both tibia & fibula) at the company car park, took me 6 weeks off work (not a laptop world yet, so no WFH) and another 6-8 weeks then off the crutches. Lots of physio sessions. Fortunately I was not driving a manual car, my office was at the ground floor and I was fully covered by work comp.
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces8 күн бұрын
Not nice working in a windowless office! I was in the back of an office for several years, but at least there was a window in the distance 😂 There was a second list dog incident on that ride. Stupid drone came up against a tree and just stopped...and just out of reach. I had to jump up to catch it. Unfortunately the footage made no sense but would have looked hilarious from a different angle 😂 Yeah, I'm thankful it was only a left wrist that I broke. A leg would be a whole new world of grief!
@GiGiWellness288 күн бұрын
@@MakingStuffGoingPlaces Fortunately it was a Summer job, so only lasted a couple of months. Hilarious footage would be good 😆 Recovery can be annoying, but yes, at least it's your wrist, not your leg. Take good care while filming lovely footages for us!

They always seem to make yuh wait at Hospitals! lol I might have a look around Brooklyn next time I'm heading to Sydney (Feb). We usually camp at the south bound Twin Servo at Warnervale, pretty noisey a bit over it! Cheers!!
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces8 күн бұрын
Brooklyn is a lot quieter than being near the freeway, though the boat ramp never stops...that can be a bit noisy. Worth a look though. 😁

If you get tired of the van you could get a boat and mooring for a new angle on the tiny home life. That would solve the stealth search, just sleep in the boat and then van around in the daytime. Get a Trailered boat and lease moorings as you travel different states? Such beautiful waterways and lakes there between the Hawksbury and Port Stephens though...
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces8 күн бұрын
I do like the idea of a house boat type thing, but I think I'd get bored if I was solely on a boat. Gets expensive if I need a boat and a car and a mooring....maybe one day. Who knows. I would like to explore some of the waterways a bit more.
@cycledelic448 күн бұрын
If you had a boat , it could mean a change of name for your channel to Repairing stuff $$$, going places.

More beautiful places. Sucks to hear you’re still out of action for another 6 weeks. At least you can still go for walks & explore beautiful places in the meantime. Does your drone follow your exact movements or how does it know not to crash into trees? It was cool how it followed you weaving through the trees on the little island near Budgewoi.
@MakingStuffGoingPlaces8 күн бұрын
It really surprised me the drone made it through those trees. If I'm going slow and it's close, it can trace my path quite well, but once the speed increases, it falls back a long way so struggles to follow the exact path.it starts cutting corners. Pretty impressive though. Better than I expected. As for the arm...at least now I know it ok to start working it. It won't slow me down too much 😁

What camera gear do you use? What type of drone do you have, and how do you set it up to follow you? It would be great if you made a video explaining how you shoot your vlogs. Thanks!

Hi Jason ,bit of bad luck with your arm , I think you can stay over night at Valentine bowling club they have a nice spot over looking the water I see a few camper vans parked There when we go and get our fish chips And eat them over looking the water

Haven't watched the video yet, my girlfriend would not be happy if I watched without her. I know you talk a bit about where you stay each night without giving too much away, but an idea for an episode would be to talk about the tips and tricks for finding places to stay overnight. I liked the 'new estate' idea where people hadn't moved in yet, love the boat ramp option, but it would be interesting to hear more about what to look out for and what to avoid. I know it's controversial because overnight stays border on being illegal in some areas so it might be difficult to go into much detail. Anyway just an idea. I hope you're still having fun out there🎉

😂 thanks Jeff! Yes, that is a video I have in mind for a time when my content is lacking. Problem is, I keep doing so much stuff that I really want to document. Also, those sort of instructional videos are very time consuming to make...but in my list. I know people would like it.

I really want to continue but... It's very weather dependant and the number of days you can realistically fly seem quite low. Then now, by the time I get full strength back, flying season will be over... I guess I'll see how everything works out.
