I did have a lot of fun when I was skating this shoe but for the most part Im aware all I did really was complain. haha I really did not love this shoe but it did have its pros that make it a good skate shoe for anyone to try out.

Im skating these right now, they took me a little to get used to but after about 2 days I started to really enjoy them. Also they are pretty damn durable too. I skate 6-7 days a week for 2-4 hours and I just barley started to wear through the kick flip spot after about 5 and half weeks. And I also do a lot of kick flips during the average session so I am really impressed. One of my favourite shoes ive skated!

mxitinn the flick is just weird to get used to bc like they stick so well to the grip but once u get used to it u can get ur kickflips rlly high i ended up loving it

Glad to see you back in the streets! I'm skating this shoe right now and I love them! It was a little bit of a challenge at first but these broke in just beautifully and are winding up to be an awesome shoe. I'm really wondering when your going to review the FA board your riding. I'm also riding an FA board and wanted to see/hear your thoughts on that board brand and how the board is performing for you. I have been riding mine for about a month maybe a little more and the timing of my tricks are off but manageable. Hope to see the review of the board you're riding.

Hey Christian, just hit that subscribe button. As an old dude (read 47 years old) getting back into skating your reviews have been really helpful in narrowing down a choice for a skate shoe. I ultimately went with a Nike SB Alleyoop based on your review of the Ishod Wair Dunk way back in 2016. Construction seemed similar enough to go for it, plus they were on sale :P If you wanted to go ahead and do a review on them yourself that would be awesome, I think they put the right technology and thinking into the shoe's design/construction to make it worthwhile. Man the Rowans, one of the best shoes I’ve ever skated but the durability is the only issue. The suede holds its form but the sickstick outsole that Vans says is more “durable” goes away quicker than Vans without the sickstick outsole. Wish they lasted longer but maybe I’ll get another pair sometime again

Definitely a great shoe...usually a size 10 US but the rowans I'm a size 9US. Lasts the longest out of all of them except the EVDNT which are also a great shoe and durable.

I have rowans and have been skating them off and on for 3 months. The upper has no holes, no ripped laces, but the outsole ripped when the waffle connects to the “foxing”.

I'm loving and hating these shoes and I think it's because of the sticky sidewall. They're amazing for transition because they're super predictable when forcing the board into a tail slide or a smith on a quarter and I can pop huge ollies in them because of the way the board clings onto your foot, but kickflips are a struggle. The sticky soles send the board forward more when I flick and it's very hard to get used to. When I have a session in my Slip On Pros after skating the Rowans I get my kickflips back instantly. Overall, I think I prefer the standard waffle sole slightly.

Dude they are an awesome set of shoes....but buy for the length so that your toe fits well and let them stretch to form around your foot. Once they do you won't be let down. They are durable and the rubber softens so that you feel the board. They held up and the sole wore out first. Its become my clear favorite for vans.
