We totally agree about Nova Scotia having too many great destinations. I guess that's why we've returned there at least ten times. It's also what we look forward to for next spring (if we can wait that long). That breakfast looked delicious especially the strawberry & lemon scone! I love blueberry flavor with lemon. The birds were in heaven with that cinnamon roll. My niece and I were eating lunch at Chick-fil-A one day and she dropped a waffle fry. A tiny bird picked it up and flew away with it. The waffle fry was bigger than the tiny bird. We still laugh about that tiny bird with the big waffle fry 20 years later. Beautiful view of the water! I could look at that all day! Maggie has the right idea, just lie in the grass & rest! 50s sound glorious! It's still in the 90s here on Hilton Head! You are so right, we always need to remember to stop and smell the roses! I need to remind myself of that sometimes!

Vacation vs Road-trip…For almost 30 years we have been going to Acadia NP. We drive 2 days to get there, then settle in for 2-3 weeks in that place. It’s the place that has had our hearts for 3 decades. However, at the moment we are on a Road trip from our home in Ohio, to the Rockies, to Grand Canyon and any other places that grab our interest heading slowly back eastward. Both types of trips interest us at different times. It’s all good😉

Our(my) issue on the Alaskan trip we're on is getting my wife to leave places to get to the next stop in time for good weather at the next destination. Fortunately she came around and we have been blessed with some amazing weather that usually lasts a day. In Skagway we arrived in time to take the Whitehorse Pass train on a day so beautiful that the narrator said she was talking about peaks and glaciers they'd only seen a couple times this summer.We're now at Lake Okanagan ( trying to spot the Ogogo Lake Monster),about 100 miles from the US border . Here we've encountered a new issue. Forest fires. Thanks again for your videos of your Alaskan trip for inspiration. Still have four weeks to get back to Socal to start symphony rehearsals so phase two is Grand Coulee Dam on the Columbia river, Mt. Rainier, Mt Saint Helens Aaaaand ????

The Tidal Bore in the Bay of Fundy is pretty fascinating with its extremely high and low tides. All of Eastern Canada is beautful when the weather is good!

This is Nova Scotia, but New Brunswick is beautful also. Most gas stations sell diesel fuel here.

I do think most gas stations sell diesel, just make sure you fill up before taking the back roads 🤣. We didn’t have any issues with finding gas. We always filled up when we got to 1/2 a tank.

Have yall heard about the white sand beach that looks like a tropical vacation destination? Not 100% sure where it's at but last year I was watching one of the ppl I follow and the beach they went to looked like a Gulf Coast beach with snow white sand and turquoise water. Another great chapter. Sure brings back the great memories we have from our trip up that way. Not sure which way you are coming back, but I would consider a trip to Campobello Island a must see. Franklin Roosevelt's cottage/mansion and the walk over to the lighthouse were special places to visit. No decent place to eat there, but everything else was incredible.

Had noticed that you are missing one fundamental ingrediant in your cooking: fresh chopped garlic. This will bring out so much more in your cooking! (That and starting frying-up the garlic & onions in a little olive oil).

the best thing for you to do is enjoy nova scotia south shore being you are doing that end of the provinece and come back another trip and do the north east from halifax to Cape Breton by the number 7 highway out of Dartmouth.

No, we have many lighthouses here. Peggy's Cove is closest to the capital city of Halifax so has the most tourists ( maybe too many at times).

Thanks for noticing. You’re the first. Worth the price? Yes, they provide a good amount of support and comfort along with pretty good longevity. Not as comfortable as our Nemo chairs but take a fraction of the time to setup and tear down, which is why we chose to bring them on this trip since most stops are just for the evening and just one-night boondocking stops.

I like them for how small they are and how easy they would be to take to the beach. Problem is max load is 250. I am around 6ft 4in and about 280 and I would be afraid to test the limits. Maybe when I lose some weight.
