I wish they add security alarm into these as well ao both cameras can make adequate sound to alert. It would be very helpful if alarm starts when inside motion detected.

Do you know the difference between N5 vs N4 pro??

The N5 is a 4 channel dash cam while the N4 pro is a 3 channel dash cam.

@@olwan96unless your a taxi driver 4 channels will be very handy…a 2 channel front and rear will do if you just want those recordings. Disadvantaged of inside camera is you can’t touch your phone while driving in some countries as you are recording yourself…so if any accident that lead you using phone while driving it can be use against you evenmore as evidence.😅

Hello, Nice informative Video. Which power source did you use? It does not seem you used the cigarette lighter cable. Can you elaborate on that? Thanks.

It does use the cigarette lighter port to plug in

Not this…which is a shame…expensive if you add it all up….should come as standard for the price even the hardwire kit should also come as standard option.

Could you test the parking mode? The old Vantrue E2 was not good with the parking mode and also extremely heat problems when warm and sunny outside.

My Vantrue N4 also shuts down in hot weather during parking mode / low bitrate recording. Is N5 any better?

I bought this camera as the video i watched on You tube showed that it continually recorded 24 hours a day. Well, it does not. Don't waste this amount of money buying this Camera, there are tons of cheaper, clearer cameras out there. This camera does not even show the Licence plates of the cars in front.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with the dash cam. It records anytime there is some type of motion in any of the the vehicles a while before and after. The camera pics up quality vary clean and has helped me in many instances. I hope you can figure out a solution

I fitted the Nextbase 522gw in my sons car and after 6 months the internal battery failed ( still under warranty). I contacted Nextbase and they wanted me to pay £10 for them to send an internal battery then I had to get someone to install it or Nextbase wanted £30 for them to do it so I sent it back and had a full refund, I’m waiting for vantrue n5 to arrive to fit that in my sons car, I have paid extra for the cameras filter lenses and the hard wire kit
