You can staple the vapor barrier on and they tape over the staples and joints.There is a reason to use screws instead of nails. You will learn , when you need to take something apart . Quit using nails. Screws will hold better.😅

Yes concrete and metal siding and roof creates lots of moisture.Vapor barrier should be a must.

Need a bakers scaffold. One of those things you say why didn’t I buy this sooner. Also on the girts if you cut a couple boards to the length of the distance between the girts you and just put one at each end and sets the distance then move the spacer boards up to the next one. Saves time measuring and guarantees exact distance every time.
@MountainBeaches6 ай бұрын
I was thinking that exact thing yesterday. Thanks. 😀

I was able to borrow a 2 set of "Baker" style scaffolding to install bracing and rat boards in my new shop, then found a 3 piece set with guard rails used on fb marketplace that was invaluable to install my 10' LP panel siding, especially on the 19'4" tall gable ends, along with trim, priming, caulking and painting. They allow one to cover more area with each placement than a ladder. Great choice on the vapor barrier! RR Buildings used and approved!

Staples won’t hurt the moisture barrier. You nailed the girts back on! Same thing. Remember I offered free construction help but you didn’t ask.

Your upper joints of vapor barrier need to go behind the the lower joint so that moisture goes down to bottom of wall.

get a roll scaffold About 2 section That make about 12 feet tall and add handrails be 18 feet tall It will help with Dry wall or plywood or you have two ladder same size get 2 in By 10 in 8 ft or 10 ft border the you scaffold add 2 in by 2 in board each side so can't fall off the step PS use step side of ladder
@danmcdonagh89246 ай бұрын
Now if moisture runs down from ceiling, it is going to sit on the the tape of the upper joint until it loosens the tape and runs down the outside of your vapor barrier.😢

To BE QUITE ( D I R E C T ) There are a FEW Reasons ( PEOPLE ) Wil argue to and also ( NOT ) to do the insulation (VAPOR Barrier Equations. One which seems to hold WATER ? Two is they Create a PLACE for bugs, animals, and such to build homes in the long term. My KNOWLEDGE in this Half Century long quest looks more like this. WHAT YOU Choose is as important ( IF ) Not More so when the Numbers are run for YOU and YOURS alone - still. Explanation is this in a NUT Shell. Warmer locations are Less likely to see as Dramatic of changes in the Below freezing ranges. VENTIALATION is of the * Free Air * kind which has proven itself through the centuries of structures and buildings. * N O W * as in a CLIMATE of BOTH HOT and COLD meeting some where in the MIDDLE or so ? KNOW THIS. Doing NOTHING is a SURE FIRE way to Create problems where there was NONE in the beginning. HAet sources like fireplaces, wood stoves, propane and fuel oil all need both Fresh air and a Place to Get rid of exhaust gases that remain. CHIMENYS are what those then are called. WHEN COLD AIR meets warm ( CONDENSATION ) BUILDS and then FORMS. Like How * H O T * air rises. Then too in REVERSE ( COLD ) Air Drops down low doing what ( IN Total ) A Bubble or ( CIRCLE ) of events. Like a Ball rolling in a few basic directions. NO BARRIER means its all a Jumbled mess. With a BARRIER ( ITS ) what some call ( CONTROLLED ) Chaos. More or LESS. I say this today for ( I ) want you to do some basic CALCULATIONS. WHETHER you do it now or prefer to hold off on certain costs until later ? Like the insulation for Sound Deadening. WHO does it help and why ? THINK Long and Hard BEFORE YOU Reply. NOW Fast forward say a week, month, year, or decades into the future. Are YOU building this just to sell and move some where else ? or is it far more likely The END of TIME is what this product is designed to provide ? WHAT SOME WILL Do or Recommend for others ? is the exact OPPOSITE of what they will then JUSTIFY to HELP out the SOLUTION to a LIFE long problem OTHERS would rather not DEAL with PAY FOR or be Tasked with over and over and over again and again and again still going forward. DO THIS ( EXACTLY ) as I say * T O D A Y * Write it down. The Costs with , the costs without. For the products to be used only. NOT what Heating and Air conditions and other such LONG term projections could be showing. CONTROLLED Environments such as Heat Regulated spaces. Have LESS issues with HUMIDITY and also Never tend to see the rusting and corrosion that goes along with that Un-Controlled involvement. " In the END - It ALL Goes Back to the B E G I N N I N G " There is ALWAYS ( ENOUGH ) Time to do things over ( YET ) NEVER EVER Enough time to do things right the very first time ( WHY ) ??? MATH is the Answer ( BOTH ) forwards and backwards. Save a Penny to Spend Lots of BIG Bucks ) After the Fact Who WINS and then Also how much the costs ( INCREASES ) Overall still ? ? ? Its been said that ( 20/20 ) hindsight is the crystal ball of ( IF ) I only knew then what I clearly can see now - instead . No Amount of wishing or praying for a 50 / 50 BALANCE will ever reach the 100% Fantasy of getting what is supposedly ( DESERVED ) without putting in the EFFORTS to make it possible from the start of this J O U R N E Y ... YOUR Welcome in advance They Call me ( The VOICE of REASON ) That person looking over your shoulder. Asking questions and figuring out answers. NOT letting YOU do the wrong thing time and again wondering why it still is not working as expected ? ? ?
