Firstly, Forest did not accuse anyone of corruption, nor did they demand that Atwell be removed from the game, they respectfully asked PGMOL to reconsider Atwell's appointment as he is a Luton fan. PGMOL in their arrogance chose to do nothing. It was Carragher and Neville that claimed that Forest had accused the refs off corruption . Secondly, This is not Forest's first brush with Atwell who when Forest were cruising 2-1 up at old Trafford gave Man U the softest of soft pens and sent Forest's captain off in a game that ended 3-2 to the Mancs. Since then there have been a catalogue of VAR and ref cock ups that have lead Forest to receiving several letters of apology from PGMOL. Doing things "properly" gets you absolutely nowhere with these arrogant pricks and letters of apology mean nothing when fighting for points and the refs think they can get away without having their competence questioned. Also, for the record, in 1984 Forest were cheated out of a place in the UEFA Cup final because in the semi final the referee made a number of outrageous decisions and subsequently confessed to having taken a bung from the then Anderlecht president, so don't think that European football is not at risk of corruption and when so called professional refs make so many individual mistakes in a game is it a competence issue or something more sinister? That these questions and doubts arise is nothing to do with Forest or their Tweet, it has EVERTHING to do with the refs and PGMOL and the false accusation that Forest actually accused them of corruption when they patently didn't is a classic case of victim blaming, the number one tactic used by the guilty to divert attention from the real issue.

Some real good points Made there mate and agree with a lot of what you have to say,apologies aren't enough

As a Forest fan, I think the tweet was the right thing, no one else is gonna speak out why not us

I agree thar clubs should call out these descisjons

Well said Ash! I spoke out too as another Forest fan as I am just sick and tired of watching them on Sky Tv only to see a stonewall penalty not being given by VAR and then the following week to hear that Forest have received an apology from the PGMOL advising that we should have been awarded a penalty yet never were as usual! It gets very monotonous to watch the Premier League denying we should have been awarded one only for the refs to admit their errors!

With you all the way, thanks for speaking out.

Forest aren't just speaking up for Forest, there speaking up for every club and its fans, Var and the PGMOL need challenging, for the constant awful decisions given against every team

Completely agree,want to see clubs,players,managers pundits etc calling out bad descisions,not just the fans

Thank you for being so honest. One of the worst travesties against Forest this season was against Wolves when Willy Boly was fouled but then yellow carded followed by a red card for actually kicking the ball then being fouled himself! If that isn't wrong for all of football I don't know what is. A red card being shown, even for a sec on yellow should always be checked in order to avoid such a travesty! As for penalty decisions, we have only been awarded 1 all season, the joint least in the division yet there are at least 13 other occasions where we should have been awarded stonewall penalties and that is aside from the type of foul on Gio Reyna and Handball by Ashley Young at the weekend too, plus many others!

as a Norwich fan we seasons ago were always punished by awful VAR which saw goals offside by a toenail and a game v man.u at home they got 2 of the worst penalty decisions I've seen and when exactly the same situation happened for us waved away blatant bias against us a newly promoted team while forest statement could have been worded better they are right to call out what is a corrupted league and officials has been for so many years way before VAR.

It's easy really, corruption or incompetence

Living here in Spain, a good friend of mine is Oscar Tellez, who played for Alavés against Liverpool in the 2001 UEFA cup final (5-4 to Liverpool in extra time with golden goal rule). I showed him the video of the game and he reckons that it is both corruption AND incompetence, and I agree.

Forest have been right royally bent over the back of a chair, had their shorts pulled down and been royally shafted. That is just this season alone, aside from what was done to us last season as it was more or less as bad. The Premier league were even trying to get us relegated that season with the refereeing decisions that were made and nothing ever said by VAR unless it was against us!
@jon-gz4ed6 ай бұрын
someone needs to do this well done forest ,this needs to be sorted and see the replays of what they are seeing ,we are paying to watch these games andall teams have screens ,we may as well go back and go without var and let the refs make mistakes then we can have our arguements like we used too then carry on with football and celebrate a goal just once not twice ,

If you have a supposedly competent referee making what is generally agreed as 3 wrong decisions out of 3 penalty calls, one must question his integrity, as what other factor is there?

@@LilywhiteLane Tired of the lack of consistency, some decisions are that abysmal it smells of corruption! Agreed with everything you said, spot on bud. I don't like the way the clubs that are struggling but have really good fan bases get punished, while money clubs like Citeh an Chelsea with terrible fans get swept under the rug.

@BeyondtheIights spot on,the medias reluctance to call out city and Chelsea Is pathetic,115 charges and about to win another league yet everyone is taking about how good pep and de bruyne are
