Carbon fiber muffler covers for the Ducati Streetfighter V4 from RPM Carbon

The stock exhaust on the Ducati Streetfighter V4 is surprisingly loud for a stock system and I see no need to change it. The appearance; on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. After looking at various options to dress up the stock exhaust, the carbon fiber covers from RPM Carbon seemed like the best option for the look I was pursuing. I am very pleased with the results. How did you di whit the heat protection? Did you take it from the old ones to the new ones?

Hey Variable. Nice review. Its been a little over a year since your post. How are the covers holding up from the heat? Do they come with any type of heat shield material? Thanks for your time.

Thank you. The covers look as good as the day I installed them. They did not come with any heat shielding but I decided to add some heat reflective tape. Was it necessary? I honestly don't know. I can't say I notice any more heat on my feet than I did with the stock metal covers FWIW

I was just having a discussion about this. I went with the full system, it’s what I wanted however the stock system is still really loud. If you don’t care about doing exhaust I was saying just to paint the silver part of the stock exhaust black to make it look good as I’ve seen others do. This however takes the cake in looks! This is a great option and it looks incredible. Great video 👍🏽🙌🏽

Thank you. The pieces are beautifully made. I've had several people ask about them when I've been out riding. I was about ready to powdercoat the stock exhaust covers when I found these online. Absolutely happy with my them. Side note: I was enjoying your videos before getting my SFV4S. Great wheel choice

Thanks for the video. I just ordered my streetfighter from the dealer and they said it should be here in about a week and im about to order these quick question. Is it the just the 4 bolts holding them on and did the exhaust have to come out for me to install. Ps these looks so much better then the silver and tbh i never changed my 959 exhaust bc to me they sounded great and couldn't justify the cost of new exhaust

So far so good. I did out some heat reflective tape on the inside which may have prevented them from discoloring. I was putting on new brake and shift levers yesterday so I was up close with the covers and they looked like I just out them on. I thought there was some discoloration in one spot but my boot must have touched there and it wiped away with some rubbing alcohol. Very happy with the purchase

@@variable851 thanks for the replay. That was my only reservation about then. I'm definitely gonna get them now. They looks so much better then stock and way cheaper then an exhaust... like you said I like the sound. Loud enough for my liking

Thanks. No discoloration so far. I did put some reflective tape on the inside when mounting them but the finish has not changed even in the areas without the heat shield tape.
