This is absolutely incredible! It broke my heart. I love the little details like Varian shaking off the explosion of the chemicals he was working with, his pained expressions, and the shocking heel-turn where Quirin realizes what Varian did to get him back ... it's incredible.

Your art is awesome and fits great with the style of the show while still having its own twist. The little details added like the eyes really show alot of emotion and the animatic felt in character for him. Anyway great job on this and i hope to see more of your work soon :P but dont push yourself too much

This...is so fucking amazing omg? Why isn't it more popular? Why am I just seeing this now? I love every single thing about this, such a great animatic, the details are astounding! Also, VARIAN JUMPING INTO QUIRIN'S ARMS WAS THE BEST THING???? And then the magical emotional moment is shattered as we (and Quirin) see the rocks, the automatons, and Rapunzel with her parents. Though I'm not clear on something, is the "nightmare" in the title meant to suggest it's just a nightmare Varian had and not something that actually happened? Or is it just a "metaphorical" nightmare?

hey, thanks for the comment! And I agree if his dad was freed Varian would go back to the straight and narrow. I made this with the intention of it being a nightmare that Varian has, out of regret for his actions. The dream is suppose to tell him if he keeps up his actions then he’ll eventually turn away from everything he loves completely, even his dad.
