3:7 He it is who has sent down to thee the scripture, containing signs that are specific/decisive - and these are the essence of the scripture - as well as others that are unspecific/indecisive.5 Now those in whose hearts is disease go after what is unspecific/indecisive, seeking out [what is bound to create] confusion,7 and seeking [to arrive at] its final meaning [in an arbitrary manner]; but none save God knows its final meaning.8 Hence, those who are deeply rooted in knowledge say: "We believe in it; the whole [of the divine writ] is from our Lord” - albeit none beats this in mind save those who are endowed with intelligence.

@@Andalusian_ mutashabihaat means parallelism and allegory- not unclear. It refers to ideas about God’s being, heaven and hell which we don’t have the vocabulary for now- so similes are drawn

@@TheRotiHabib No. that would be “mathal” and derivates. It’s exactly people who try to distort and make things more conforming to interpret that are addressed here. Some verses are only for God to know the final meaning thereof. That’s the whole point of the verse. It tests people arrogance. It clearly says “they say”. God is obviously not included in saying that. So clearly the previous sentence stops at “God”, and others don’t know the final meaning.

As Shehzad Saleem points out in his work, all these narratives are incidental. The Quran is an ORAL text and the dynamic transmission of it is an established fact. Unlike the early historical context of the Bible in which even the internal testimony of the Bible itself and letters of Paul indicate of differing opinions on the very mission of Jesus and the law, which influenced the Gospel writers (modern Biblical critics, including believers themselves clearly reference internal testimony to indicate scriptural alteration). the Muslim world expanded in an unprecedented scale, 23 years across a third of the whole known world, meaning the rapid expansion of the Muslim state in such a short time preserved the Quran beyond the hands of any alteration. Not only was the spread of the Quran and Tawatur acts done politically by the Companions themselves, but socially as well, via recitation including in prayer at minimum five times a day. Seven year old kids memorize it and recite it. In essence, it spread like a language does, meaning Tawatur. Scholars may try and decipher the origins of a language, but the reality is the language itself is preserved and known. Further, even the order of the Quran is consistent everywhere across the Muslims lands, meaning as a living document is a testimony in and of itself and no Muslim group was ever successful in changing it, because they never tried and implicitly as well as explicitly understood it as finalized and from the Prophet, This despite the fact scholars themselves have works on Asbab-e-nuzul and their own theories on abrogation, yet they never bothered trying to rearrange the Quran even though they are the ones that often quote isolated narrations in this regard. This type of re-arranging the Surahs of the Quran is only a product of the modern era. further, as the works of Farrahi and Islahi on the internal cohesion of the Quran is like a well-fortified structure, meaning the internal testimony shows the order has meaning and the sum is greater than the parts. This is well-elaborated in their Tafseer works and it’s not some subjective claims. The transmission of the Quran was in essence a divine miracle, as the prophecies of the OT and NT foretelling the Kingdom of Heaven on Earth clearly delineate. The Quran itself says that it’s compilation and preservation could only have been done by God himself and further, the Prophet didn’t need to worry about it. Miracles cause awe and wonder, they can’t be contained by a purely ‘mechanistic’ explanation of a pure cause and effect. There are many evidences we can point to, such as how the Quran doesn’t even mention any of the conflicts that happened after the death of the Prophet and every single page attests to the mission of the Prophet alone during his life. If the Quran was a changing text and fluctuating, you would find mention of many of the theological conflicts and battles such as between Ali and Muawiya in it.

Your really trapped in Utopianism and it's dangerous for your mental health. Your looking for a heaven on earth which is impossible.

@@AlphaOmega888 This assertion has zero to do with the basic reality that this historical phenomenon preserved the Quran from alteration, whether you like it or not. Further, the use of political power was no different than the tradition of all Prophets of God, including Moses, David and Solomon and a whole one of Israelite Prophets. Jesus himself prophesied it when he stated that whoever fell on this rejected stone would be shattered and whomever it fell on would be destroyed. Even the early Christians were awaiting the Divinely ordained political establishment based on the justice of God’s law to bear witness to the world regarding the Almighty’s control. It is a fact no matter how you want to convince yourself otherwise. The Kingdom was established as prophesized as the last major testimony of the Final Hour and now the world awaits the Day of Judgment. It is up to you whether you choose to accept it or not, but surely Jesus was no more than a Messenger of God, sent to give the glad tidings of Ahmed, as well as warn the Israelites that their failures of adhering to the standards set forth in the law of God has reached its tipping point and they need to return in repentance to God and said that their only path to resolution is to stand by the Prophet when He comes. Jesus definitely never claimed himself some hellenistic gibberish nonsensical “alpha omega” title, no matter how much the Hellenistic scribes of John rant otherwise.

@@AlphaOmega888 And nowhere did my comment imply a utopia in this world is possible. The Quran tells us explicitly this life was made a trial and that this world is often times, nothing but deception. Further, this world was ‘beautified in order to test men, to see who would remain God’s servants and who would rebel and follow their whims and desires. And whoever passes this test in order that “the chaff is separated from the wheat” as John the Baptist said, that person will obtain Paradise, where as the Quran tells us “they will neither fear (the future) nor grieve (over the past)”. This world in fact is nothing but this fear of the future and grief over the past and it is only in the Next Life can one truly live in the present and in the moment, free of these hindrances. The reality is that while this world is a trial, God Almighty told our father Adam and Mother Eve, he would not leave man alone, in a world where Satan and his Minions, whether from jinn or men, would tie up their loins to try and mislead them. Throughout history God proved his word true, culminating with the final Messenger, whose own success and Book attest to His being sent by God. The Kaaba, established by Abraham, was restored to its rightful place as the symbol of Tawheed and God’s eventual Judgment for those that choose to follow God’s religion and keep His Sigjs before their eyes. Now the final guidance has been preserved and man can “choose to follow or not”. One thing is for sure: The Hour of Reckoning is Drawing Near And neither you, nor I, not even Jesus, whom even said “he doesn’t even know when the Hour is” or Muhammad can alter its time.

This dispute was settled over 30 years ago when the Quranic code was revealed. It verifies hafs/asim (specifically, the 1924 Cairo edition) is the authentic version. Why are we still debating this?

Allah only sent down one Quran... the Quranic code revealed to us (the number 19) is proof that the Quran was preserved and the authentic version is the one almost all of us use (king fahd/1924 cairo edition of hafs/asim)

Hi I’ve heard about this before. In terms of the number 19 showing the preservation of the hafs/asim version. Is there anywhere I can read more about this or find out more. Or even message u regarding this issue. I have many many questions

I don’t agree about the "Ahruf " matter with Dr.Shehzad because Hadith about Ahruf al Sab'a is Mutawatir Lafzi as most of the Hadith used the word "Ahruf al Sab'a". And Dr. seems to hesitate to sat it "made up". And his definition of Tawatur is also not seeming acceptable. And difference of opinion doesn’t make anything " false" rather As- Suyuti clearly says, the meaning of "Ahruf" is Mutashabihat. And if we analyse some Hadith, it seems clear that Prophet Muhammad saw didn’t gave any clear definition (that’s why the ambiguity) and told His companions to not to argue about that. The main thing was whether you have read it correctly from Prophet or not -that is clear from those narration. And about the case of some word of Quran whose synonyms were taught by Sahabi to their subsequent generation and they (Tabi'un) learned it as Qira'at, is there any strong proof for this assumption?

@@shahreyarcool311 no Allah says: Those who believed, then disbelieved, then believed, then disbelieved, then increased in disbelief, God is not to forgive them, nor will He guide them to a path. 4:137. If the punishment of apostasy was death how can a person believe then disbelieve and then believe again? He would have been killed the first time but that is not the case because there is no punishment for apostasy. God could have made everyone a muslim if he wanted but he didn’t so it is a test from God to see who will believe. The death penalty is from hadith that has corrupted islam, but Muslims don’t realise. Follow the true path of Quran and no hadith.

I don’t like his method of reasoning and Hadith criticism methodology . He criticise Isnaad of Hadith only to support his hpothesis (or assumption). But accusing someone as telling lie is not a good work. You can disagree with him politely. And he is not a mainstream scholar in Islam.

The Quran code was revealed in 1974 that proves the Quran is the revelation of God. It proves that hafs/asim is the authentic version of the Quran, approved by Allah.

@@bertiebasset6025 until they realize God has already revealed the Quranic code that proves it is divine revelation and perfectly preserved. The Quran is not ink and paper. It's called "the Quran" which means the recitation. It's a spoken scripture not a book. The ink and paper has scribal errors but they've all been corrected by the Quranic code God left us.
