Namor is one of the very first Marvel characters who doesn't have alot of his own series & who only shows up in Black Panther & Fantastic Four comics. He's literally never around whenever there's a huge event going on. The fate of the world or universe is at stake & he couldn't be bothered lol. Marvel needs to do more with him much much more.
@rnklv8281 Жыл бұрын
The Sub-Mariner did seem to make many "cameo"/cross-over appearances in the Marvel comic book universe, and Namor did seem to have a distant co-existence relationship with the other Marvel characters. Perhaps because of his mistrust in humans for using the oceans (his realm) as a toxic waste dump. An analogy might be the difference on how Native Americans and early European settlers viewed nature.

You left out a few Namor factoids there. First, he has a healing ability which is triggered by being in the water. Namor can go toe to toe with anybody so long as he can get to water in order to heal. All Atlanteans have this ability, but Namor's ability is 'Wolverine-level' because he is a mutant hybrid. Second, Namor's mixed heritage makes him go insane if he spends too much time in one element. If he's out of the water or in the water for too long, he loses it. That's the main reason he switches from hero to villain so often.
@angeloftheuchiha.4810 Жыл бұрын

🤣 it's quite obvious that you don't know about Comics or Namor at all, the reason why I Namor attacks everyone he encounters is because of his half-breed heritage, because of his unique heritage it interferes with his blood that's why he is always calm or violent and also has to do with him going up and down inside of water, this was explored in the Namor series that came out in the 90s

Aquaman because he’s been able to push oceanic plates and has the Trident of Poseidon which allows him to control all sea life including the Trench. And his telepathic abilities work on other planets as well 3 states of matter are everywhere regardless of dimension or universe. Namor can keep up with him in strength but more times then not Aquaman has to fight some OP characters; Hercules, Superman, Wonder Woman, Darkseid and even his trident stabbed him in the eye. He has more times in comics showing off his raw strength. But what makes him win the fight is his powers aren’t just on earth he can be on other planets and be able to do the same thing.

Movie Namor's body was altered by the potion so his powers didn't happen because of the "X genes" like Cyclops had.

Great video but I was surprised by no mention of his founding membership in The Defenders along with Dr. Strange and Hulk. That was a perfect vehicle for him to occasionally show up all high and mighty and fight alongside some other oddballs of Marvel herodom...

I am surprised he didn't that namor was part of a group during world war 2 called the invaders who members included captian america and the original human torch.

Namor had a good original story but I feel like he was too powerful for them if he wanted he could easily brake their necks or something lol but he admired wakanda cause they were outsiders like him also they made it look like he had feelings for shuri

How was Namor the first mutant? He wasn't the first Apocalypse was the first mutant.

@nature93 not canonically no but in real life named Moore was the first character to be classified as a beauty like 20 years before the X-Men

Not within the Marvel universe but within our universe as in publication date. Namor is Marvel’s first character but the character is also a mutant meaning he is Marvel’s first mutant to debut in comics.

Hey, don't forget that Namor was also fighting the war as a member of the INVADERS, with Captain America and the android Human Torch.

Hold on. I remember watching the cartoon series back in the 60's . When Namor clashed with the army he got shot. How did he become bulllet proof?

Whoever is in that movie is not Namor The Submariner

The first Marvel comic I ever got was Daredevil against Sub Mariner. Namor was an awesome character and super strong. Then I saw the version of him in Wakanda Forever……Marvel RIP

Admiral Byrd’s journey of exploring the Antarctic is crazy. Look it up on KZbin for a good hollow earth conspiracy story.

I loved the interpretation of Namor and his people in the new movie. The combination of Mayans and Mer-People created a brilliant design aesthetic and the flashback to his origin recalled ‘Apocalypto’, to me. Awesome stuff.
