Love the podcast/show. I recently listened to the episode on box jumps and it gave me a new perspective on this movement as well as some motivation to moving to a higher height of the box during WODs as well as working towards a higher one rep max. Thanks for keeping it real!

3-4 relatively high intensity training sessions plus 1-2 moderate intensity practice sessions, each lasting between 30-45 minutes. As an Affiliate owner and father to four children under four years old, this is the best I can manage and has been enough to maintain and even improve my fitness over the past couple of years. I also really like Pat’s “3rd option” suggestion. Great episode, gentlemen, and thank you for your insight as always!

Amazing episode! Thank you very much, you make my week. I have got a few curiosities that I would like to ask you, in case you find any of them interesting: - Should a gym owner test their workouts before they appear in the classes? If so, how would be possible for them to join regular classes with the athletes as well? As both of you are experimented programmers, do you ever feel the need to test the workouts and adjust them after the test, before they appear in the programming? - What is the purpose of the time CAP? I hope that the sole purpose of it is not to make sure that the class finishes on time, as I believe that is a task of the coach, planning, scaling options chosen... But if a workout has a time CAP, I like to respect it (most of the time). Do you feel that it has to be respected in every occasion, or would you ever encourage someone to finish outside it? Bonus question: are some workouts programmed to purposefully hit the time CAP? If so, what is the difference with programming an AMRAP, would you go into the workout with a different mentality? - I don't want to get into any numbers, but it has come to my attention that many CrossFit gyms have different membership fees/rates for the same services because the fees/rates get updated or because there is a "founder fee" for those who are there from the beginning of the gym. I honestly don't care what others are paying for their membership, but I am curious to hear your thoughts. When it is time to update the fees, would you do it for everyone or only for new members?

from Brad MacMillan,,,CrossFit Pound, Eel Ground,NB Canada What is something in the fitness/Health realm that you thought for sure was the right way/best practice in 2008 that now in 2023 you think differently? ex. For me, in 2008 i thought that carbs and low fat was the way to go....now I feel much differently.....I now eat an Animal Based Diet for the past 7 yrs(meat, berries,honey and natural fats,,,,no processed foods)
