We've been taking Hugh for granted for too long. Paddington 2, The Gentleman and now The Undoing - we are truly blessed to be living in the Hughnaissance!

He was good in A Very English Scandal too. Also, Maurice. Its his first ever lead role and fantastic as Clive Durham.

Its a testament to how likeable Hugh Grant is that even if he was the killer, people still expected a happy ending. Even when I realized he killed I desperately wanted that he didn't kill her. I was very much in Grace's place from disbelief, denial and the whole range of emotions she felt. Hugh, Donald Sutherland, and Noma Dumezweni were the standouts for me in this series. I hope we get a second season because there are still so many questions.

That kid who played the son did an incredible job in this movie. I won't be surprised to see him have a very successful career in his lifetime. Great job, kid!

I love Hugh Grant, I always did I loved the role he did, his acting is amazing, and I so much believed in the character and felt very sorry and extremely sad for what Jonathan did..the problem is that I am used to cute Hugh, so after finishing this series , I spent the rest of night watching Notting hill, 2 weeks notice, music and lyrics and the rewrite just to make sure he is actually the good and nice man I always loved. It s like I was so down after the series it felt so real and I needed a dose of happiness❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Honestly, I was expecting Jonathan to jump and take Henry with him, as a punishment to Grace for doing what she did in court. In fact, that would have been a more realistic ending and outcome for a psychopath of that nature - to force her to live with the death of her son as revenge of a narcissist!

@@MA-un1mj I didn't write this character lol. Just stating what would have been more realistic in light of what he was like as a psychopath.

No I don't think Jonathan would kill his son to punish his mother. He killed Eleanor in the first place to protect Henry and Grace. So it's a bit odd o happen
@godleads1
@godleads1 3 жыл бұрын
@@nilanjanabhattacharjee8266 I don't think he was trying to protect anyone but himself. He dumped the mistress because she became too cringy and he didn't want to be controlled. He killed her out of pure anger. He wasn't trying to protect his family in my opinion. I mean at one point he was trying to blame the murder on his own son.

If Jonathan really was a psychopath, he would have killed Henry to take revenge on his wife.

Though I understand grace’s psychological side in the ending scene. The fact, that she felt confused and lost because he’s not the man she thought she married… But I deeply felt that they would get together. Specially when she called his name when he wanted to suicide; it wasn’t just Henry she cared for… though she’s extremely mad at Jonathan, she don’t want him to die and don’t want Henry to lose his father in front of his eyes. Deeply down she still love him, and that’s why I thought maybe there is season two where we can see them work it out together or even trying. And the fact that he killed that woman, yeah he’s a total maniac. But I believe she wasn’t sane too 👀 I believe she was even more horrible 👀 and I would like to see the side of real Elena before she was murdered not the victim thing.👀

Yes i was saying the same thing about Elena! She didn’t deserve to die much less in that fashion but she had at least a slap coming from someone. She was clearly unsound and full intention to sabotage, over sex with an old man with no intention to actually love her. I felt she wanted out from her situation so bad she took what she found and ran with it and didn’t care about anyone but herself bc if she did she would spend more time with her HEALED son than loving his dr.

The actors were amazing, the script was good, but the direction not so much. I thought I was going to gag if there was yet another shot of Nicole Kidman in a long coat walking the streets alone. That’s basically 50% of the show. And it was made obvious by editing and directorial choices that Hugh was the killer from the beginning. Also, too many sociopath cliches.
