The starch wagons went over from CPC to Cerestar in 1988 and by 1989 most Procor wagons had been lettered to CAIB so I'd say this is definitely 1988. 47604 was named on 3rd August 1988 so, looking at the condition of the loco, I reckon it will be very close to that date. Excellent footage to help us on our Aberdeen Kirkhill Model Railway, many thanks.

Graham Harris 47562 was damaged by a fire at some stage in the summer of 1988, and there is a photo on Flickr showing the loco in this state at Glasgow Works on October 2 of that year. I also recall seeing it parked up at Eastfield sheds for a spell some time before that, so that would narrow the window down considerably.

If this is 1988 I would have been 1 year old ha ha! God I wish I’d been born 10 years earlier to really get to see this amazing old traction rolling around! The station is so different now :’-(

Aye, it looks more modern back then, cleaner. Not had the construction for 15 year without 1 single bit of progress! 😛

Great video thanks for uploading. I'm going to go for 87 or 88. This is based on the Intercity Swallow livery HST and 47716 having the Eastfield logo rather than a Haymarket logo. Pretty sure the 477s moved to ED in October 87.
