I'm running a Mach 4 scope Leupold will it melt on the front of the scope

No sir. You can rail mount it in front of your leupold if you have the rail space. If you dont, you can get a daytime scope adapter and it will work just fine. But the VarmintV2 LRF's arent made in clip-on versions. You'd have to get a RattlerV2 Clip-on or Secutor LRF clip-on for that.
