As someone who is a Silver/Gold player (going by ranked 1.0 standards), a lot of people in my lobbies ban jackal, Dokkaebi, Solis, and Fenrir.

Copper-bronze group of friends here and these are our default bans as well, may vary a bit depending on the map. But I have to say that our gold-plat enemies like to ban Fuze/Kapkan a lot.

Honestly? As a newer player (maybe 3-4 months, not years) who has fallen in love with the game and is eating up youtube content, I usually just leave the lobby if I see a champ background. I'm still maining quickplay atm, and have no hesitation to leave the lobby if there's either some obvious op/smurf/cheater, or if some ass-hat is simply toxxo-- I'm a mid-40's adult and value my time more than that. I'll do ranked later when my friends are more steady at the game, but this answers a question you had in some hacker-replay vid a while back as to why a player would have so many abandons in quick-match. I know that that example was someone protecting their k/d, but for my part I'm not gonna stay for the b.s... I'm just trying to learn the game; I don't care about the team-kill thing and all that, I'm simply out once I recognize what's happening, which is a nice feature of quick-play.

Jackal dokk and solis are pretty common bans in gold and lower lobbies too. I think the first game is a low/mid plat player playing with his friends who are gold or silvers and the game put them against other current plats who have been higher rank in the past and their lower ranked friends

Gold ranks are banning jackal and clash generally. The other 2 bans are left up to the higher rank team (usually em) thats gonna wipe them

Whenever i see a Fenrir ban my first thought is low tier meta slaves who spawnpeek and frag every game with all their high fire rate guns with ACOGs I still think Jackal is a good ban for all ranks just because the ability to be such a pest to most roamers on defense is enough to make me want to stop that. Same goes for Deimos but countering Deimos is easier than Jackal. Back to that Fuze ban though, they always happen during games with the metaslaving Fenrir, Jackal, and Kapkan bans so it makes me think that Fuze has suddenly because a meta operator??? Like wtf happened or is this just exclusively a low rank thing Like the low rank ban has always been Cav. When you see a Cav ban you know youre in a silver lobby, but i see like 10x more Fuze bans than Cav bans now and that's unironically an understatement. But when youre in a lobby where both teams coordinate banning all black operators? Thats when shit gets wild. (Like deadass this happened one time our team banned fucking Sens for some reason then we saw a Capitao and Wamai ban and then everyone on our team rushed to ban Clash it was wild) I honestly love the ban system and think more games should use it (as a veteran Overwatch player since year 1 I genuinely think it would do wonders for that game's competitive scene), but it can get so stale or frustrating in the low ranks where players are either banning easy to counter ops like Cav, or just metaslaving without understanding why they're banning the operatirs they are

I recently had a match high emerald to champ i knew 3 of my team were cheating almost 2.5 kd with 200 matches. But enemy team was also cheating. One guy in chat posted oh so everyone is cheating. It would be good that cheaters always face cheaters.
