Majkl shows us in this video how to make a delicious Greek speciality: Bifteki or Greek hamburger. What is really special about this recipe is the use of Feta cheese inside the burger. Also in this video, Majkl shows us how to make the traditional Greek Tzatziki sauce or dip.
Ingredients for 6 large burgers:
1kg ground beef (Majkl recommends 20% fat)
1 onion
1 clove of garlic
4 twigs of thyme (or Majkl uses Satureja)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
400g feta cheese
Ingredients for the tzatziki:
1 large cucumber
400g Greek yogurt (need thick yogurt for this recipe)
2 cloves of garlic
5 large tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil
1 large tablespoon of wine vineger (important to use wine vinegar for taste)
zest of 1 lemon
7 twigs of fresh dill
salt to taste
Finally, you will need 12 small pita breads, diameter around 10 cm.
