Good lord. 😩 Also to answer your question at 49:19 which you most likely definitely already found out well before I even thought of writing this comment but yes, Las Plagas is extremely sensitive to bright lights, in RE4 they can't survive in the day light due to the sunlight being too intense for them. That's why they never popped out early in the village arc until nightfall and that's also why flash grenades one tap them. They got a lot stronger in RE5 however as you've already seen the Plagas snakes appear during the daytime in that game. 🤓

Happy new year ! My fav eras of RE are: 2, 5 (mercenaries was a major time sync for me and that’s how I discovered your channel!) then 8 because 7 was just boring with the enemy design besides the spider lady boss fight and initial Jack sequences! Never got to play Veronica and only played an hour or so of zero but I’d say operation ragoo city was an honorable mention besides the damn nemesis fight in a warehouse- never got passed that and the ability to couch co op that story was dope with my best friend like we did 5. 6 was just insanely over the top but again that couch co op was supreme!!! I hope when the remake 5 that they don’t make the mercenaries a simplified version and go back to the roots of unlimited waves and time gathering- never got to do the multiplayer achievements on the versus modes so would be awesome if they kept those aspects too!

Hope the trip to the store was good, and the food was bomb. My game rotation hasn't changed much even though I bought Baldur's Gate 3. Still messing around in GoW:R's Valhalla mode, playing the same 4 missions in MGSV:TPP, Marvel Rivals, and doing side stuff in RE4:R. So, I'm very close to to saying that the 'middle era' is my favorite, but I think I've replayed RE1 through 3 more as a whole, and RE4 is doing A LOT of carrying for the middle. I feel most closely connected to the early games, but RE1 Remake comes out on top all day every day.

I like the shooting range game as an idea, but it is too difficult to get the high ranks. Would have been better if they made the S++ level that was super hard, and then left the rest of the range open and viable to get. Especially since the keychains you get are all determined the moment you start a game.

If we're going by eras, classic era is the best. Hard to beat the combined greatness of 1+2+3 and code Veronica. 4 as a stand alone rivals 2 as the best in the series, but 5 and 6 are major down grades in my opinion. 7+8 are fun in their own way, but are not quite the same high as some of the earlier titles.

@@vash12349For PS1 Era I have to go with 2. Such a great improvement to the setting, game play and lore of RE. For the next Era, it can only be 4. That game single handedly redefined third person shooters and has the perfect mix of serious and campiness too it. 5 and 6 lean into the craziness far too much for me. And for the final era, Id go wit 8. It improves a lot of the already great systems from 7, and it feels a lot more like a RE game.

5 and 6 can only be enjoyed with a human partner. Otherwise they are hot garbage. RE:CV and RE7 were the only single player games that I didn't enjoy. CV has a boring story with bosses that can easily stun lock you and RE7's characters are by far the most annoying in the series that just makes me want to mute my speakers. Not to mention that in RE7, it gives you the bad ending should you choose Zoe instead of Mia, which is the more logical choice.
