Ohh dear.. it all becomes so clear now. I was so proud of myself starting my own cleaning business but now I find myself sick with a cold/flu for a whole month.. I've just had blood tests to try understand why I'm not getting better.. but it all makes sense now. I lost more weight whilst cleaning and my understanding of health was always lots of healthy leafy greens and reduce things that cause inflammation like milk and sugar, meat. I don't think I've been doing myself any favours after researching vata dosha. And I'm a classic vata.. skinny, dry skin, cold hands and feet.. I want to physically do it all but my body keeps saying no! However I should have picked up on my body type earlier because when I had my second baby, all the family brought over delicious hot food as gifts such as Chicken vegetable soup and stews and I temporarily found this different kind of energy and positivity I haven't had before! It was amazing.. especially after having a baby. I find the hardest thing is having an appetite to want to cook a nutritious stew or soup. I think I'll start small with warm milk and porridge, roast vegetables and work my way up with a Vata cookbook. Thank you for all of this free insight and knowledge. For someone who gets sick every few weeks it seems, this could be life changing. (I am also giving up cleaning and looking for a less strenuous job)

Wow. You just explained my entire life to me. I am overwhelmed with joy and gratitude. Thank you for sharing your knowledge of this ancient healing art. I have looked into this very briefly on and off over my life due to VATA imbalance and did not learn enough at the time to really get what was happening. I became (due to varying factors and practices a very clear channel and psychic which became crazily intense and physically dangerous at times, and have since found over the years to pace myself with this but have never had the dots joined together for me, with my body and mind. I tried every diet there is, including no diet, for years and as I have aged, (I am 58 now) my Vata imbalance has increased, (due to eating the wrong food and obviously hating routines, intense stress for 13 years and a series of very traumatic life threatening (others lives) situations. etc etc). I did not understand what was happening to my body and mind. I also moved to a cold place. Amazing. This is so interesting to me and so timely. I have just started eating meat after 35years of being a vegetarian and it was a difficult decision for me. I have developed an auto immune problem and cannot tolerate a lot of food so running out of options..., BUT, I have been doing all the wrong things because I did not understand my body. I already know this is the way for me and have never heard anyone, any time ever explain me so perfectly. I will endeavour to really learn more. I really cannot thank you enough for this video, even though it was made 3 years ago. Shavarnia.

@@anareginacoronado1147 Hi, Ana I think that it is or was with me like that also. But I want to explore this possibility with fasting more deeper since I get most peaceful when on fast. I have done several long fasts (4 days dry fast, 15 days water fast...) but I realized that the body wither quickly after some time and I am currently seeking balance in eating and fasting so I can raise my consciousness while remaining active and strong. Fasting 1 or 1,5 day per week will stay with me for little longer I guess :)

This explains a lot. I've tried to follow a vegetarian diet before, and I happened to pick a lot of light foods and eliminated the oils completely. So, even though everything I was consuming was healthy, I was very irritable and out of balance .. I couldn't last for more than 5 weeks because I started fainting and feeling dizzy through the day, while feeling anxious and unable to sleep at night, even though I was maintaining my recommended calories, eating 3 meals a day and exercising regularly. I also got rashes and extremely dry skin and I couldn't really find any explanation for what was going on back then.

I do not like or trust the commercial brick heavily transformed milk. 2: nuts . I read in other ayurvedic books that dried fruits and nuts aggravate Vata. Should I soak them first ? 3: body oiling daily . Do you oil and then leave the oil to soak into the skin or do you oil and then have a shower ? Many thanks for taking the time to reply 🙏📿🕉

So I am still a bit skeptical about Ayurveda but at the same time I am very strong Vata Dosha with all it's the physical and mental traits. I'm light framed and skinny, often have cold hands and feet, suffer from digestion problems and I'm light sleeper. I work in creative job and I tend to quickly get bored. The more I analyze it the more I connect the dots about my life and problems. People always tell me after while that I come off being serious and reserved which I feel affects my social life a little bit. It was surprise for me that ayurveda adresses that too. Also I often end up very disconnected from reality, ungrounded and neurotic at times. Looks like a lot of imbalance. Maybe I need to start applying those advice to my lifestyle just to see if there will be significant change in my well being.

Insomnia, coldness, dry skin, mind and body constantly moving, constipation and I have a tendency to lose and gain weight (due to anxiety) very fast. But I have a doubt, because of the fact that I sometimes eat a lot, specially sugar and then gain weight. Plus, I have a tendency to accumulate mucous (allergies). Could that be a sign than I might be Vata-Kapha?

If KAPHA time of day is from 6am to 10am in the morning is it possible to balance vata dosha by using this time to increase KAPHA? for example, waking up at 9am and sitting down to read rather than the usual recommendation of waking at 7am and exercising in the morning? I have a difficult time with my dosha [im a vata kapha] but id like to know if vatas would benefit from using KAPHA time to further increase KAPHA with kapha inducing activities.

THANK YOU SO MUCH for this insightful and informative vedio . I also have General anxiety disorder and have had a depressive episode 6 months ago . Can you please please guide me as to whether i should focus on balancing my vatta first or eat khichdhi for a week ( and what dosha to start balancing first after this 1 week ? )
@cheeneechats64904 жыл бұрын
First out of balance is vata and first to bring into balance is vata which is the easiest. Try meditative exercises in the morning and make a daily routine and stick to it. Eating sleeping tea time etc. Thirdly do just one thing at a time not multiple things. Don’t multi task. Once your vata is in balance it will help you deal with the rest.
@anishamaheshwari4 жыл бұрын
@@cheeneechats6490 Thank u for your advice but when i start feeling anxiety ( high vatta) and do meditation or other vatta balancing practices ,i have a tendency to overdo ex- so what happens is i do continously 3 guided meditations and sleep .i often dont recognize the limit of doing relaxation exercise as when i see my anxiety improving those relaxation exercise feels addictive . But then overdoing relaxation practices leads to making me feel weak and mildly depressed . I prefer feeling anxious in comparison to feeling depressed ( that is such a dark place) .
@cheeneechats64904 жыл бұрын
anisha maheshwari I believe that depression is a Kapha imbalance. I am a vata Kapha. So if I slow down my vata I have a tendency towards depression and over sleeping. I have discovered that I should do a mild meditative exercise in the mornin, and keep following a set routine for the rest of the day. Avoid Kapha access foods, Generally carbs that slow me down. I also strictly follow the “keep your stomach light after eating” that 1/3 empty. Easiest way to achieve this is to drink a glass of water every time before you eat. Don’t overdo your meditative exercises. Do have a look at the Kapha pitta combination constitution by dr Marc
