Love it!! Ayurveda has spread from arab to Cambodia. Yoga is practiced all over the world. Hindu classical music, which originates in Sama Vedic is loved in Pakistan and Bangladesh. I'm writing in English which owes much to Sanskrit. The numeral system too originates in the glorious Vedas. I'm so impressed by Vedic philosophy that I am reverting to Vedanta. I wouldn't have discovered Vedic philosophy if it hadn't been for the internet. ❤❤❤🌹🌹

Infinitas gracias , gracias , gracias .

Great intro!!! I learned so much. For example: Explaining the tomatoes, raw vs. cooked, and why [cooked in sauce with cooling herbs/spices] makes it less toxic to the 'dry' vata joints (the water) and fire in pitta (cooling herbs) made so much sense! Psychic Edgar Cayce said tomato sauce was more tolerable than raw tomatoes, for one of his patients who had arthritis... and I always wondered why. I don't think Edgar knew either. But now we can rely on Ayurveda for advice on this...

Great talk, it puts all of my interests into a field of study and exploration - Ayurveda (life knowledge). Up until now I've been learning about holistic health in a fragmented way, which has been useful and fascinating but to find this ancient body of knowledge that works as a life science really interests me. It adds a new dimension of depth to understanding yoga as well. I can also identify aspects from all the doshas within my temperament, but more predominantly the Pitta and wind based dosha (I've forgotten the name). I think that Aryurveda could be instrumental to understanding the areas of imbalance in my life and ways to bring about more harmony, such as living in more simplicity and relaxing more after work and at night rather then force myself to be doing something. It's a difficult affliction to live with the guilt that comes with this super ego thorn that tells me a should be more this or that "more productive" go and do things and life will be better. How do we recognise when this superego will has an idea that's better for our life or when to say "enough" I just want to meditate and be in silence for the evening or day - whichever is your situation. It happens that I work monday to friday so my mind is both driven and scattered in one time period. Am I just maturing and getting older so it's time to recognise that and learn to relax? I'll stop abruptly now as he did in his talk, and return to some peace and quiet again. Namaste

It is an enjoyable task to explain consciousness in its vital permutations of tissue, personality and habits etc. Just a suggestion for the purposes of relatability and balance compassionate insight on the doshas: The examples you give of vata early in the talk reflect a very common bias toward the description of traits only in the imbalanced form. You might want to fill it in in a relatable way around what its common felt sense benefits are. These would be: a sincere and steady focus on the spirit of things vs erratic focus. The desire to converse (bring ether into form as communication symbols) in order to express broad understanding of what connects. It is changeable because the subtle energy is often experienced in the head YET is not always intellectual. They tend to interpret their spiritual insights with intellectual term in order to connect with pitta in their impatient or focused intent on outcome, results vs. connections. They are driven by the bio-electric force and are quick to be engaged and quick to be exhausted. The memory is not engaged in the body as much due to a lack of water. They are likely to be deficient in minerals to bind and retain water. They are interested in universal principles first, then they wish to penetrate depths of a topic. They resonate with psyche and do well in the communication arts, are creative for the reasons as mentioned above. They can ground their talents in intuitive roles. They can blur their eyes to the complications to get to the universals then discern what to express from there. They can learn the power of gentleness if they have enough contrast of roughness to prioritize it. There are many challenges that of course begin in the first phase of imbalance; vata but it is helpful to contextualize it in balanced reference to its counterparts particularly when combining into personnaes. For what it is worth, I appreciate the increase of interest and advocacy of this beautiful life wisdom.
