Vatican Officially Approves the Canonization of Blessed Carlo Acutis | EWTN News Nightly

Despite his short life, Carlo Acutis left a formidable legacy and lasting impact on many for his immense love for Jesus and the use of technology for the glory of God. The Vatican has now officially approved his canonization, as well as that of 14 other blessed. Since the day of his passing, thousands of people have come to pray for his intercession at his grave. While Acutis' canonization date has not been set - it is expected sometime during the 2025 Jubilee. On October 20th, the 14 other blessed will be canonized. Anthony Johnson from the EWTN Vatican bureau has more.

He seems like he was a great kid. Great heart. Great intent. But a Saint? Most Saints have performed miracles or things indescribably exceptional. Not taking away his service to the Lord, but it's just not there. This seems more like an attempt to catch the attention of the younger generation than anything. Wish we had a Pope who stood up against the evils of the world, rather than capitulate or give in.

My friend's oldest brother was in critical condition. They found him unconscious in staples. He took fentanyl. He was on a ventilator and the doctors said it does not look good. We all thought for sure he will die. We promised to pray for her brothers full recovery. We prayed to God and ask blessed Carlo Acutis to help us and Go before the father with this man who is a sinner and we who are sinners. This was last month. My friends brother has made a full recovery and it happened in less than 48 hours. You may not think this boy is extraordinary but in this day and age with all the luxury and convenience and secularism poured out on the youth. This boy at an age most boys are looking at free porn and thinking about sex he was building up a website dedicated to the living God. Cataloging every Eucharist miracle so curious children can see and learn how the bread is not just a piece of flour and water but Jesus himself. I think he is a Saint and he had already as a blessed gone to Christ for my friend to obtain her brother's healing and I thank my 12 year old son for saying Let's ask Acutis to help him! I never would have thought to ask him. The saint is humble and just wants to help and be of service.
