I have the Almar smooth, and I have to say it is the best pipe I have ever smoked from. I christened it with Capstan blue.

i love this aromatic. even non smokers who dont like any aromatic aroma on me usually say its such a nice smell. i cant get any taste (i like to play with the smoke rather than taste haha) but its a pleasant smoke and easy going even after a short dry time (like 30 mins) just to drive to my b&m to smoke. even without a dry time it still is great. lovely smoke in all 10/10 for me.

Did you smoke this pipe with the filter in?? Did it come with a plastic insert if you don't want to use the filter?

I didn’t use a filter as I find the drew perfect. Due it’s long shank a filter is not needed. To my memory no plastic adapter was provided.

Hello Nathan! The Auenland series has some beautiful shapes. I own a Clodo rusticated. This shape is not longer available. Seems i bought one of the last. Yours is shaped like my Vauen Shine 195. It’s a snug fit in my hand and smokes magnificent. The Auenland pipes are very well made and definitely more affordable than the first Lord of the Ring pipes. The only thing i find a bit uncomfortable is the mouthpiece. I wish they would have made the tip more flat. It always feels a bit strange in my mouth. I never had one of the Vauen Auenland tobaccos but the Tom Bigbee sounds interesting 🙂 Regards Michael

Thanks for your feedback Michael. They are indeed amazing pipes and the smoking experience is very cool & enjoyable. I actually find the round mouthpiece very comfortable especially that you need to hold it by the bowl it feels somewhat like a Shisha😀 I must recommend the tombigbee it is delicious.

I had a smaller one and I loved how cool and rich the draw was; same engineering idea as Native Americans and their calumet pipes for sacramental rituals. The ignition point is far away from where the smoke is drawn in. The only issue I had was that the longer stem allowed greater amounts of moisture to develop into the bit and I had to use the pipe cleaner much more frequently. But boy what a great smoke !

@JDJ473 thanks for your feedback. Lucky indeed😊 love the pipe as you say a great smoke. I since found the right extra long pipe cleaner which are more expensive so I ended up using the cheaper regular ones and clean the stem with 2 cleaners one on either side😀 perfect
