Yeah maybe. But dont make the mistake of thinking SPS is going to solve the crime problem in the city (VPD is a good example). Its far far deeper than a policing problem. Blaming police is a lazy political move. Busy cities like Surrey its almost entirely reactive policing, not pro active (meaning call to call). It leaves very limited resources to go schools, community functions etc etc. Best of luck to Surrey and the lower mainland as a whole. Its entirely a mess thats now become too big to fix. A good start would be getting drugs back off the streets. Honestly.
